    摘要: A cellular communication system supports High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) services. A first transceiver (201) transmits HSDPA downlink packet data in a first cell and a second transceiver (203) transmits HSDPA downlink packet data in a second cell. A cell overlap processor (205) can determine that a remote station (101) is in a cell overlap region between the first cell and the second cell. A macro-diversity controller (207) causes the first transceiver (201) to transmit first HSDPA data to the remote station (101) as a first signal in the first cell and the second transceiver (203) to transmit the first HSDPA data to the remote station (101) as a second signal in the second cell. The first and second signals are macro-diversity signals. The remote station (101) comprises a macro-diversity combiner (303) which receives the first downlink HSDPA packet data by combining the first signal and the second signal. The invention may allow improved support of HSDPA services in cell overlap areas.

    摘要: A projection television display apparatus comprises a display device with an image formed for projection and a display screen for receiving the projected image. A plurality of photo sensors are located adjacent to edges of the display screen and each generates an output signal responsive to an intensity of illumination by the projected image. A detector with controllable detection threshold is coupled to the photo sensors for generating a signal having a first state when the output signal generated by each of the plurality photo sensors is greater than the detection threshold, and a second state when the output signal generated by each of said plurality photo sensors is less than the detection threshold. A controller is coupled to the display device and to the detector for setting the detection threshold for the output signal generated by each one of the plurality of photo sensors. In response to the signal having the first state, the controller moves the image on the display device to sequentially illuminate another one of the plurality of photo sensors.

For control of the convergence parameters and the evaluation of the correction values the crossing points of the grid pattern are marked by a cursor. The irregularity may consist in an omission within the grid pattern like an interruption within one horizontal or vertical grid line. An image signal generator for the grid pattern with position cursor includes a raster generator, a grid generator, a cursor generator, and means for combining a grid signal from the grid generator and a cursor signal from the cursor generator so as to inhibit the grid signal corresponding to locations on the grid pattern where the position cursor is visible by an absence of display of portions of the grid pattern.

    摘要: A memory and a switchable digital filter supply different numbers of digital distortion correction values. The supplied distortion correction values are converted to an analog distortion correction signal. A passive, analog low pass filter for the analog distortion correction signal generates an analog deflection signal. The low pass filter is optimized only for those of the analog deflection signals having a given sample rate. A controller varies the different numbers of the supplied distortion correction values to maintain the given sample rate of the analog deflection signal for different horizontal scanning rates. The controller selectively implements respective operating modes for different horizontal scanning frequencies in which no interpolated distortion correction values are supplied or different numbers of interpolated distortion correction values are supplied.

The amplifier draws its power from a horizontal flyback transformer. In order to avoid a horizontal transient which may occur when the dynamic focus voltage amplifier is reactivated after being deactivated during a vertical blanking interval, the dynamic focus amplifier draws a current during vertical blanking which approximates the average current drawn during vertical scan.
