摘要: An amplification fiber includes a core which is doped with an erbium ion and a cladding which surrounds the core and has a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the core, and a relative refractive index difference Δn51 between the core and the cladding is not more than a smaller one of values of a relative refractive index difference Δn1 expressed as a predetermined expression related to a radius a of the core and a relative refractive index difference Δn2 expressed as a predetermined expression related to the radius a of the core.

摘要: There is provided a position detection device that recognizes a presence position of a target object in a three-dimensional space. The device acquires three-dimensional point cloud information of the space and a plurality of images obtained by imaging an area including surroundings of an object in the space from different imaging points. A region detection unit receives, as an input, the plurality of acquired images, determines whether a target object appears in the plurality of images, and detects a region of the object in each of the plurality of images in a case where the target object appears in each of the images. A specifying unit specifies a region of a point cloud corresponding to the target object based on the point cloud information and the region of the object detected in each of the images. A position detection unit specifies a position of the target object in the space by recognizing points corresponding to the target object from the point cloud information of the region specified by the specifying unit.

摘要: In a waveguide having a given Δ, a low-loss waveguide bend is realized while the curvature radius is kept small. In an optical waveguide in which a first waveguide and a second waveguide are connected, a clothoid tapered waveguide bend is inserted between the first waveguide and the second waveguide. In the clothoid tapered waveguide bend, the waveguide width continuously changes from a first waveguide width at a connection point of the first waveguide to a second waveguide width at a connection point of the second waveguide, the curvature radius continuously changes from a first curvature radius at the connection point of the first waveguide to a second curvature radius at the connection point of the second waveguide, the first waveguide width and the second waveguide width are different from each other, and the first curvature radius and the second curvature radius are different from each other.
