    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring timing advances for uplink communications resources. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment includes receiving, from a base station, signaling that configures a first timing advance and a second timing advance. The first timing advance is configured to be used by the user equipment when transmitting an uplink communication in a half-duplex resource, and the second timing advance is configured to be used by the user equipment when transmitting an uplink communication in a full-duplex resource. The method may further include transmitting, to the base station, a first uplink communication within a first resource using one of the first timing advance or the second timing advance based on whether the first resource comprises a half-duplex resource or a full duplex resource.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to a base station configured to transmit a message to a sidelink (SL)-repeater, configuring the SL-repeater to transmit sidelink synchronization signal blocks (S-SSBs) including S-SSB index numbers, receive a SL-node identification and a preferred S-SSB index number, and transmit the SL-node identification and the preferred S-SSB index number to the SL-repeater. The base station may be configured to transmit a first message configuring a SL-repeater to broadcast a sidelink discovery message, receive a sidelink discovery report from the SL-repeater identifying discovered SL-node(s), and transmit a second message activating the SL-repeater for sidelink communication with the SL-node(s). Another aspect relates to a SL-repeater configured to: transmit a sidelink discovery message, receive first response(s) from respectively responding SL-node(s), and transmit a report to a base station identifying a change in membership between a first list of the respectively responding SL-node(s) and a second list of previously responding SL-nodes.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink repeating operations, such as by using an assisting node (e.g., a smart repeater, relay, or reflector) to enhance sidelink communication reliability. For example, one or more assisting nodes may be configured by a network entity and repeat sidelink communications for two or more user equipments (UEs). In aspects, an assisting node may receive, from the network entity, an indication of resources available for sidelink communications between a first UE and a second UE. The assisting node may also receive signaling that configures the assisting node to repeat sidelink communications between the first and the second UEs over the indicated resources. The assisting node then repeats sidelink communications between the first and the second UEs according to the received signaling.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium for directional security are provided. An example method may include receiving, from a wireless device, a configuration for a set of shared keys. The example method may further include receiving, from a second UE, at least one message or signal including a location of the second UE, the received at least one message or signal being associated with an angle of arrival. The example method may further include configuring a key from the set of shared keys based on at least one of the received configuration, the location of the second UE, the AoA of the received at least one message or signal, or a location of the first UE. The example method may further include generating one or more ranging signals based on the configured key, the one or more ranging signals being directionally secure based on the location of the second UE.
