Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for reducing likelihood of Random Access Channel (RACH) transmission blockages and thereby facilitate an initial access procedure for new radio (NR) unlicensed spectrum (NR-U) operation in a fifth generation (5G) wireless communication system including an NR node. In some embodiments, a parameter generated by a gNB and received by a UE indicates that, from among a set of consecutive RACH Occasions (ROs), a gap is available for performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure before commencing a RACH transmission.

Abstract: Systems and methods for user equipment (UE) capable of performing sidelink (SL) communications that account for overlapped SL resource pools of multiple radio access technologies (RATs) are disclosed. A UE may select, based on prioritizing non-overlapped resources over overlapped resources, one or more candidate resources and/or one or more transmission resources; may determine a power control configuration without considering SL pathloss corresponding to a first RAT when a second power control configuration determination for a second RAT does not consider SL pathloss; may select physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) locations for PSFCH use from first PSFCH locations of resources of a first SL resource pool on a first RAT that do not overlap with a second SL resource pool on a second RAT according to a bitmap; and/or may select one of a PSFCH transmission and PSFCH reception using a data priority rule and/or a pool sharing rule.

Abstract: Configuring channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) reporting at a network may include encoding a channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration communication for transmission to a user equipment (UE) that is in connected mode with both a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second TRP. The CSI reporting configuration may include a first group of CMR (Channel Measurement Resource) resources for the first TRP, and a second group of CMR resources for the second TRP. Based on the CSI measurement communication, one or more downlink data transmissions may be scheduled.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods to indicate power transmission capability for a wireless device. A wireless device may connect to a base station (BS). The wireless device may transmit information regarding transmit power capability to the BS. The wireless device may indicate support for full power transmit capability for a subset of TPMIs for which it provides full power transmit capability, e.g., in a bitmap. This subset of TPMIs may be less than all of the available TPMIs (i.e., it may be a strict subset of the available TPMIs). Full power transmission capability of these indicated TPMIs may be provided via antenna switching and/or antenna virtualization. The wireless device may perform uplink transmission to the BS according to the transmit power capability indicated in the information. For example, the UE may transmit data using the antenna virtualization related to the subset of the TPMIs.

Abstract: A device may wirelessly communicate with a number of different cells used in a carrier aggregation. The device may monitor physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) on the different cells, dynamically switching between a dormant monitoring state (DS) and an active monitoring state (AS). In the DS, the UE may not monitor any PDCCH candidates on the active secondary SCells corresponding to the DS, or it may monitor PDCCH candidates in the search space (SS) set with the largest monitoring periodicity among the multiple SS sets on the active bandwidth part (BWP). In the AS, the UE may monitor a set of PDCCH candidates in physical resources configured by higher layers on the BWPs. Switching from one monitoring state to another may be facilitated through the use of a new downlink control information (DCI) format without data scheduling, a modified existing DCI format with data scheduling, and/or use of a DS timer.

An example method generates SCI stage 1 and stage 2 for transmitting a transport block (TB) to a user equipment device (UE). The method includes determining the type of sidelink communication for transmitting the TB. An SCI stage 2 format is selected based on the type of sidelink communication. An SCI stage 2 payload is encoded in accordance with the selected SCI stage 2 format. The selected SCI stage 2 format value is encoded in an SCI stage 1 payload. The SCI stage 1 payload and SCI stage 2 payload are transmitted to the UE.
