Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A mobile integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may transmit, to an IAB supported network, an indication of IAB capability. The mobile IAB node may also indicate to the IAB supported network a mobility status associated with the mobile IAB node. The IAB supported network may conditionally determine authorization for the mobile IAB node based on the mobility status, a subscription status, or both. The IAB supported network may transmit, to the mobile IAB node, instruction to operate in an IAB mode and perform the IAB operation. The mobile IAB node may communicate with one or more devices based on the instruction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the disclosure relate to enhanced load reporting between network entities (e.g., provided by a distributed unit (DU) to a centralized unit (CU) or by a CU to another CU). In some examples, the CU may provide one or more triggering events which may be used by the DU (or a second CU) to trigger the provisioning of a load report to the CU. Accordingly, the DU (or second CU) may be able to initiate a load report without relying on periodic reporting criteria. In some examples, the DU may initiate a load report to the CU without being configured with triggering events. In some examples, a DU may report measurements made associated with a communications load involving communications with both a parent network entity (e.g., a CU) and at least one child network entity (e.g., a user equipment).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a first wireless node in a wireless communications system are described. The techniques may enable a first wireless node (e.g., an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node in an IAB system) to establish a communications link with a second wireless node. The first wireless node may receive, via a reception beam of the first wireless node, an interfering signal from an aggressor wireless node. The first wireless node may perform an interference measurement of the interfering signal at the first reception beam. The first wireless node may transmit a report indicating the interference measurement to the second wireless node. The second wireless node may schedule communications based on the interference measurement. In some examples, the report may indicate one or more parameters of the interfering signal. In some examples, the report may correspond to one or more beams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a wireless device may select random access channel occasions (ROs) based jointly on synchronization signal block (SSB) measurements and cross-link interference (CLI) measurements. The base station may configure the wireless device with a set of SSB occasions during which to measure SSBs and a set of interference measurement occasions on which to measure CLI caused by other wireless devices. The wireless device may perform measurements on the received SSBs to determine channel quality for communications with the base station, and CLI measurements during the interference measurement occasions to determine whether CLI exceeds a threshold. The wireless device may then select a beam and an associated RO (e.g., a full duplex RO or a half duplex RO) on which to transmit the random access message using the selected beam.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for hop-count indication in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. An IAB-node may adopt and indicate multiple values for hop-count. The hop-count may be conveyed by a number of different reference signals and channels. A resource pattern and/or a slot pattern may also be associated with the hop-count to simply signaling. By associating the patterns with the hop-count, an IAB-node may be able to infer the resource pattern used by another IAB-node.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for user equipment (UE) positioning using one or more intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs). A method that may be performed by a UE includes for each IRS of the one or more IRSs: identifying a first IRS reflection center, measuring a first impulse response from the IRS to obtain a first measured impulse response representation, determining a first impulse response for a first ray reflected from the first IRS reflection center of the IRS, estimating a first position of the UE based on, at least, the first IRS reflection centers for each of the one or more IRSs and the first impulse responses for each of the one or more IRSs, and estimating a second position of the UE in an iterative manner until one or more conditions are satisfied.
