Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a UE or base station may identify a first portion of a payload associated with a first priority and a second portion of the payload associated with a second priority less than the first priority. The UE or base station may select a first matrix associated with a first domain for the first portion of the payload and a second matrix associated with a second domain for the second portion of the payload based on a first maximum index interval for the first matrix being larger than a second maximum index interval for the second matrix. The UE may transmit or the base station may receive the first portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the first matrix and the second portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the second matrix.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a data message to a user equipment (UE) in a data block modulated according to a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The UE may monitor for the data block and may attempt to decode the data block. If the UE successfully receives and decodes the data block, the UE may transmit an acknowledgment (ACK) in a feedback message. If the UE unsuccessfully receives or decodes the data block, the UE may transmit a negative acknowledgement (NACK). The UE may transmit the feedback message with the ACK or NACK and a value from a codebook indicating for the base station to increase or decrease the MCS by a delta value for a following transmission or a retransmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource set determination for multiplexing uplink control information (UCI) messages of different priorities in a wireless communication system. In particular, a user equipment (UE) determines to multiplex a high-priority (HP) UCI message of a first size and a low-priority (LP) UCI message of a second size for a multiplexed PUCCH based on a reference UCI payload size different from a sum of the first and second sizes. The reference UCI payload size is based on a sum of the first size and the second size with a weight factor applied to the first size, second size, or both, or is based on a sum of the first size and a reference second size. The resource set from which the multiplexed PUCCH resource is selected is determined based on the reference UCI payload size.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support sub-slot based Type-1 hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback codebook generation. In aspects, techniques are provided for generating a set of candidate physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception occasions for an active bandwidth part (BWP) of a downlink (DL) serving cell. In aspects, a user equipment (UE) obtains a set of UL sub-slots based, at least in part, on a set of K1 values, and then determines, for each UL sub-slot in the set of UL sub-slots, whether the UL sub-slots satisfy a predetermined overlapping condition with a current DL slot. A PDSCH reception occasions set is generated based, at least in part, on a set of time domain resource allocation (TDRA) candidates of the current DL slot and a determination that a current UL sub-slot satisfies the predetermined overlapping condition with the current DL slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may refrain from transmitting channel state information (CSI) if the CSI is configured to be transmitted during an inactive discontinuous reception (DRX) duration. The UE may determine that the CSI is configured to be transmitted during the inactive DRX duration based on determining that some or all of the configured time slot for transmitting the CSI occurs while the UE is operating in the inactive DRX duration. The UE may transmit feedback information, such as an acknowledgement (ACK), whether or not the UE drops the CSI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for uplink carrier aggregation in which uplink control channel communications may be transmitted on a primary component carrier (CC) and one or more secondary CCs. Uplink transmission power control for the control channel communications may be determined based on a power control configuration provided by a base station. The primary CC and secondary CC(s) may use a same set of power control parameters based on being within a same frequency band, and may use different power control parameters when one or more of the CCs are in a different frequency bands. Power control commands to increase or decrease transmit power may be accumulated on a per-CC basis, or across multiple CCs, based at least in part on the power control configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control message identifying a frequency hop configuration that configures the UE to use frequency hopping when transmitting repetitions of an uplink control channel transmission. The UE, the base station, or both may determine, based on the UE being configured with the frequency hop configuration, a frequency hop for each repetition of the uplink control channel transmission. Each frequency hop may be determined based on a corresponding uplink control channel index for a respective repetition a frequency hop for each repetition of the uplink control channel transmission. The uplink control channel index may be an uplink transmission occasion index, or a repetition index. The UE may transmit the repetitions of the uplink control channel transmission using respective frequency hops in accordance with the determination and the frequency hop configuration.
