    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive one or more transmissions from one or more UEs in a first slot, including a first transmission from a second UE. The first UE may receive the first transmission using a receiver configured with a first gain and may decode the first transmission. The UE may determine a correspondence (e.g., a temporal correlation) between the first slot and a second slot and may configure the receiver with a second gain at the beginning of the second slot based on the correspondence. The UE may determine that a total received signal power in the second slot is associated with the total received signal power in the first slot. The UE may decode one or more transmissions in the second slot based on the receiver having the second gain at the beginning of the slot.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a peer device. The method generates control information to schedule peer-to-peer communication. The control information includes a first portion with a first set of data and a second portion with a second set of data. The method then transmits the first portion of the control information in a first stage using first time and frequency resources. The first portion indicates a control information format of the second portion. The method further transmits the second portion of the control information in a second stage using second time and frequency resources and the indicated control information format.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiver user equipment (UE) may communicate with a transmitter UE in a sidelink channel to report a congestion index to the transmitter UE and/or additional transmitter UEs, where the transmitter UE(s) may then adjust one or more sidelink operation parameters based on the reported congestion index. In some cases, the transmitter UE may report the congestion index to an upper layer, to other transmitter UEs, to application layers, or a combination thereof. The transmitter UEs 115 and/or application layer may then adjust one or more sidelink transmission operation parameters based on the reported congestion index. For example, the transmitter UEs and/or application layer may adjust threshold values to lessen a number of retransmissions and lessen congestion.

A method may include identifying, by a first user equipment (UE), a schedule associated with the first UE and a second UE of the group of UEs in direct communications with the first UE. The schedule may include an awake period reserved for directional communications between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may manage the awake period reserved for the directional communications based on traffic information associated with the first UE, and may communicate with the second UE in accordance with the managing. The awake period reserved for directional communications may include an awake period reserved for uni-directional communications or an awake period reserved for bi-directional communications.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for scheduling traffic between a transmitting device and a receiving device. A transmitting device negotiates with a receiving device to reserve a slot for communicating data with the receiving device and determines whether the transmitting device is a master or a slave with respect to the receiving device. If the transmitting device is the master, the transmitting device sends, at a beginning of the slot, a transmission priority (TxP) signal, wherein the TxP signal indicates that the transmitting device intends and has priority to transmit the data in the slot. The transmitting device then receives, from the receiving device, a clear-to-send (CTS) message in the slot based on the TxP signal, and transmits the data to the receiving device in the slot upon receiving the CTS message. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
