    Abstract: Independent ranging sessions that are initiated by multiple initiating user equipments (UEs) are monitored and combined into a single combined ranging session to reduce overhead. A UE monitors a first set of ranging sessions initiated by a first initiator UE, which include pre-ranging messages identifying UEs in the first set of ranging sessions, and monitors a second set of ranging sessions initiated by a second initiator UE, which include pre-ranging messages identifying UEs in the second set of ranging sessions. The UE initiates a third set of ranging sessions by broadcasting pre-ranging messages identifying UEs in the third set of ranging sessions that comprises the UEs in the first set of ranging sessions and the UEs in the second set of ranging sessions. The original initiator UEs, upon receiving the pre-ranging messages initiating the third set of ranging sessions, terminate the initiation of their ranging sessions.

    Abstract: The apparatus (e.g., a first radar device) may be configured to receive a second radar waveform from a second radar device; determine a transmission timing difference between a transmission time of a first radar waveform and a transmission time of the second radar waveform, where the first radar waveform may be transmitted by the first radar device; and generate a radar point cloud associated with one or more targets based on the received second radar waveform and the determined transmission timing difference. A second radar device may be configured to transmit a second radar waveform; receive, from one or more targets, one or more reflections of the second radar waveform; and transmit, to a first radar device, cooperative radar sensing information regarding the received one or more reflections.

    Abstract: An apparatus, e.g., a UE, is disclosed. The apparatus may transmit, to a serving cell, UE capability information for performing L1/L2 measurements of at least one target RS received from a non-serving cell and reporting measurement information. The apparatus may receive, based on the transmitted UE capability information, a configuration including a TCI state scheduling the UE to receive the at least one target RS from the non-serving cell based on at least one source RS associated with the TCI state, and to perform the L1/L2 measurements of the at least one target RS. The number of RS reported in the measurement report may be based on at least one of a UE capability, an indication received from the serving cell, a pre-configuration, or an indication received from the serving cell in which the indication is within the UE capability.

    Abstract: A UE includes: a wireless transceiver; a directional, reflection-based ranging system configured to determine directions and distances between the UE and reflectors; and a processor configured to: obtain, from the ranging system (1) a first direction, between the UE and a particular reflector, and (2) a first distance, between the UE and the particular reflector, corresponding to the first direction; determine, based on a positioning reference signal (PRS) received by the wireless transceiver from a PRS source (3) a second direction, corresponding to an angle of arrival of the PRS at the UE, and (4) a second distance, traveled by the PRS from the PRS source to the UE, corresponding to the second direction; and determine whether the second distance is a line-of-sight distance between the UE and the PRS source based on the first direction, the first distance, the second direction, and the second distance.
