    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus relating to mapping uplink control information (UCI) to resource elements (REs) in a frequency domain with discontinuous physical resource block (RB) allocation. Certain aspects relate to a method including assigning a continuous set of numbers to a plurality of communication resources of a communication channel in order by frequency, the communication channel comprising a plurality of frequency resources and a plurality of time resources, wherein the plurality of communication resources are discontinuous in frequency and assigned to frequency resources associated with indices that are discontinuous. The method further includes mapping uplink control information to the plurality of communication resources based on the continuous set of numbers assigned to the plurality of communication resources. The method further includes one of transmitting or receiving the uplink control information in the plurality of communication resources based on the mapping.

    Abstract: The techniques described herein provide procedures at user equipment (UEs) for performing channel state information (CSI) reporting and sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions based on an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) block error rate (BLER) target and for reliably receiving PDCCH transmissions. For CSI reporting, a UE may be configured to generate a CSI report based on a BLER target and on received CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs), where the CSI-RSs may be transmitted on one or more groups of quasi co-located antenna ports. For SRS transmissions, a UE may be configured to transmit SRS based on an SRS configuration determined based on a BLER target. For receiving PDCCH transmissions, a UE may be configured to receive and combine DCI received from multiple base stations.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., non-beam related channel state information (CSI) reporting), a CSI processing unit (CPU) may process CSI calculations for a CSI report. A user equipment may have a set number of CPUs. In some cases, there may not be enough CPUs available to process a CSI report for each CSI-RS due the CPU capability of the UE. In such cases, the UE may select a subset of the CSI-RSs to generate an extrapolated CSI report. To extrapolate, the UE may measure channel conditions of at least some pre-configured number (e.g., at least two) of CSI-RSs and determine the channel condition of a point later in time and report this extrapolation in a CSI report to the base station. A base station may schedule future data transmissions with the user equipment based on the extrapolated CSI report.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for prioritizing, at a user equipment (UE), sidelink CSI reports received from other UEs. In one example, the UE may be configured to transmit sidelink CSI reports (e.g., received from other UEs) separately from other CSI reports (e.g., CSI reports generated by the UE), and the UE may prioritize sidelink CSI reports for transmission based on the priorities of the UEs from which the CSI reports are received. The UE may then aggregate and transmit the prioritized sidelink CSI reports to a network entity. In another example, the UE may be configured to transmit sidelink CSI reports with other CSI reports in a same channel, and the UE may prioritize the sidelink CSI reports over the other CSI reports for transmission to a network entity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may update its channel state information (CSI) on a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and one or more second UEs aperiodically using control information to trigger the CSI reporting process. The aperiodic CSI process may include the base station transmitting a timing requirement and control information to a UE. The control information contains a CSI request may be received and decoded at the UE. According to the CSI request, the first UE may transmit a reference signal on the sidelink for the second UE(s) to measure. The UE(s) may generate and transmit a CSI report on the sidelink to first UE, and the first UE may aggregate the received CSI report(s) and transmit them to the base station within the time period specified by the timing requirement received in the control information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may report measurements of a signal transmitted by a base station via a waveform. Based on the waveform, the base station may determine a position of the UE. The UE may measure the signal in a frequency band, where additional signaling in an adjacent frequency band causes interference on the signal. The UE may determine characteristics for measuring the signal based on the interference and may generate samples of the signal based on the measurement characteristics. Additionally, the UE may identify one or more antennas for measuring the signal and generate the samples based on the identified antennas. The UE may transmit the waveform report to the base station based on the samples. In some cases, the waveform may be based on a fractional symbol reporting scheme or a time mask with an offset and sampling rate.
