Abstract: The present disclosure addresses selection of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for control information multiplexed on a data channel. A spectral efficiency associated with control information may be derived as a function of a spectral efficiency associated with data. A modulation order and/or code rate may be selected that is suitable for the spectral efficiency associated with the data. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine a first MCS for control information based on spectral efficiency associated with transmission of data, and further configured to transmit the control information with the first MCS, the control information being multiplexed with data.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second user equipment, an indication of a time buffer threshold associated with providing sidelink hybrid automatic repeat request feedback on a physical sidelink feedback channel. The UE may receive, from the second user equipment, an indication of an agreement to use the time buffer threshold. The UE may transmit, to the second user equipment and based at least in part on the indication of the agreement, sidelink hybrid automatic repeat request feedback for a sidelink communication received from the second user equipment, the sidelink hybrid automatic repeat request feedback being transmitted on the physical sidelink feedback channel based at least in part on the time buffer threshold. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for communicating feedback for data transmissions over a sidelink in a wireless communication system. For example, devices and methods are provided for wireless communication by a first wireless device. In one example, the first wireless device determines that only one of either feedback can be transmitted to a second wireless device or a second communication can be communicated, wherein the feedback is indicative of whether a data transmission is successfully decoded, and based on that prioritizes one of the feedback or the second communication.
