摘要： Additional fields of application are provided for an electronic clock striking mechanism. In particular, a modular unit for a clock striking mechanism comprising an operating device, together with a clock circuit, and optionally a battery space, is built into a living room phono installation and connected by means of a selector circuit with a speaker. This arrangement makes possible the emission of acoustic time information synchronously with the time display of quartz-stabilized living room clocks that are potentially present, without the need for synchronization with the clock circuit in the clock striking mechanism which is also stabilized by quartz vibrations.

摘要： An electronic wristwatch without mechanically driven hands has an electromagnetic output which is sensed for measuring the timing rate. A modulated signal applied to the coil of an alarm sounding device produces the electromagnetic field for sensing. 摘要： The chime unit of pre-programmed melody type and that of programmable melody type for the electric clock and the mechanical clock. The chime units consist of the hour and the minute hands position sensing means using magnetic Reed switches or photo-transistors, melody decoding circuits using D-type Flip Flop to trigger counters to provide proper addressing signals to ROMs or RAMs, ROMs or RAMs which contain pre-programmed control signals of multiplexers, notes synthesizer generating all tones needed as input to multiplexers, multiplexers for selecting and mixing the tones from notes synthesizer to form the chime notes, decay generator and voltage controlled amplifier to provide decaying characteristics of chime notes, and speaker to convert electrical signal to mechanical sound. For the programmable melody type, there is an additional notes decoder to convert the notes to the control signals of the multiplexers and store in RAMs.

摘要： An electronic clock with a chime system has exclusively electronic processing for production of a variety of tone signal sequences consisting of known melodies or portions thereof and time-identifying sequences of strokes. The characteristic values of these tone signal sequences are loaded into a ROM memory and can be recalled, as required, by electronic control and release circuits at each quarter, half, three quarter or full hour. The amplitude of the audio output signals is automatically controlled in accordance with the time of day.

摘要： A timer for monitoring the use of hot water in the home to conserve energy is shown. The entire timer apparatus is enclosed inside the hot water control knob so that when the control knob is rotated to turn ON the hot water, the timer is activated. After predetermined time intervals, various visual and audio alarms are given, the alarms thus encouraging the conservation of energy by using less hot water. Also, the timer monitors the number of times the hot water has been used during a given period of time, such as a month or year. The timer, in addition to its primary energy saving function, is ideally suited for use as the hot water control knob of a bathroom shower.

摘要： An electronic timer includes a presettable counter for continuously counting clock pulses and which is controlled to selectively count to a desired time count and to continuously count from that desired time count. A storage device stores, upon actuation, a time count counted by the presettable counter. A detection output is produced when the presettable counter has completed the counting from the desired time count therein to a given time count. An alarm is generated in response to the detection output and is thereafter stopped. In response to the stopping of the alarm, the presettable counter is preset with the time count stored in the storage device. In this way the presettable counter is automatically set to an initial time count to enable repeated use without complication.
