Abstract: An inlet manifold arrangement is disclosed for a four-stroke internal combustion engine having at least one working cylinder with inlet valves and outlet valves and an inlet manifold assembly. The inlet manifold assembly has a flow direction for fluid (such as a fuel-air mixture) in the inlet direction, and an end section near an air filter device. The manifold assembly also has a throttle valve arrangement and a non-return valve which blocks in the direction opposite to the flow direction. The non-return valve is situated, in relation to the flow direction, between the end section of the inlet manifold assembly and the throttle valve arrangement.

Abstract: A marine drive has a propulsion unit, a supporting cradle, a resilient mount that couples the propulsion unit to the supporting cradle, a sound blocking member that extends across an internal gap between the propulsion unit and the supporting cradle, and a cowling system having upper and lower cowlings that cover at least a portion of the propulsion unit and lower cradle covers that cover at least a portion of the supporting cradle. The upper and lower cowlings are separated from the lower cradle covers by an external gap so that the upper and lower cowlings can move along with the propulsion unit and with respect to the supporting cradle and the cradle covers. The sound blocking member blocks the sound which otherwise would emanate from propulsion unit via the internal gap and then from the marine drive via the external gap.

Abstract: In one aspect, an air intake system for supplying air to an engine of a work vehicle may include a cooler box having a first wall and a second wall, with the first and second walls at least partially defining a chamber within the cooler box. The air intake system may also include a screen defining at least a portion of the first wall of the cooler box. Furthermore, the air intake system may include an air filter assembly defining at least a portion of the second wall of the cooler box. The air filter assembly may be configured to remove particles present in the air exiting the chamber of the cooler box through the air filter assembly. The air exiting the cooler box through the air filter assembly may be supplied to the engine for combustion.

Outside air to be taken into the air cleaner box is taken from the side cover opening. The sidewall is provided with an intake opening, and the intake opening is covered with the side cover. The side cover includes a body that covers the sidewall, and a canopy member provided at the surface of the body. The side cover opening is formed of the outer edge of the canopy member.

Abstract: A supercharger structure for an all terrain vehicle or a utility vehicle includes an engine body and a supercharging device. The engine body includes a cylinder having an intake passage and an outtake passage. The supercharging device includes a supercharger, a throttle, an intake manifold, and at least one nozzle. The supercharger includes a chamber having an inlet coupled with the throttle and an outlet connected to the intake manifold. The intake manifold and the at least one nozzle intercommunicate with the intake passage. The at least one nozzle is connected to a fuel supply pipe of a vehicle. External air is drawn in by a guiding device in the chamber, flows through the throttle and the inlet into the chamber, and is pressurized. The pressurized air flows through the intake manifold to mix with fuel ejected by the at least one nozzle and then enters the cylinder.

Abstract: An air intake system for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The motor vehicle has a frame and a body on the frame. The frame and the body define a passenger cabin and an engine compartment longitudinally rearward of the passenger cabin. A firewall separates the passenger cabin and the engine compartment. An engine is attached to the frame in the engine compartment, and wheels are driven by the engine. The air intake system includes an air intake snorkel for providing air to the engine, a first vent in the body for directing air to the air intake snorkel, a second vent in the body for directing air to the air intake snorkel, a flexible member installed around the air intake snorkel for isolating the air intake snorkel from the engine compartment, and a compartment floor isolating the air intake snorkel from the wheels.
