摘要: An alternating current (AC) power cable includes a conductor surrounded by at least an inner semiconductive layer including a first semiconductive composition, an insulation layer including a polymer composition, an outer semiconductive layer including a second semiconductive composition, and optionally a jacketing layer including a jacketing composition, in that order. The polymer composition of the insulation layer includes an unsaturated low density polyethylene (LDPE) copolymer of ethylene with one or more polyunsaturated comonomers and a crosslinking agent. The polymer composition of the insulation layer has a dielectric loss expressed as tan δ (50 Hz) of 12.0×10−4 or less, when measured at 25 kV/mm and 130° C. according to “Test for Tan δ measurements on 10 kV cables”.

摘要: Provided is a power cable, particularly, an ultra-high voltage underground or submarine cable for long-distance direct-current transmission. More specifically, the present invention relates to a power cable, in which an insulating layer has high dielectric strength, an electric field applied to the insulating layer is effectively reduced, and particularly, a void is suppressed from occurring in the insulating layer due to contraction of insulating oil, caused by a decrease of temperature in the insulating layer under a low-temperature condition or when the supply of an electric current is stopped, thereby effectively suppressing partial discharge, dielectric breakdown, etc. due to an electric field concentrated in the void.

摘要: A coaxial three-phase servo motor power cable is comprised of a shielded twisted triple cable which transmits three phase electrical power from a servo amplifier to a servo motor, with the shield being electrically insulated and mechanically floating within an air void that exists inside a conduit having a diameter much greater than the shielded twisted triple cable. The conduit is covered by a braid shield, which is covered by shrink tubing which may be overlaid by one or more additional signal wires, with this entire assembly being further covered by an over braid shield, which is covered by an outer insulating sheath. Both the conduit braid shield and over braid shield are electrically terminated to back shells at each end of a cable assembly.

摘要: A method of building an insulation system around a naked conductor section of a power cable. The insulation system includes an inner semiconducting layer arranged around the conductor, an insulation layer arranged around the inner semiconducting layer, and an outer semiconducting layer arranged around the insulation layer. The method includes: a) placing the naked conductor section in a mold, and b) molding an insulation system around the naked conductor section, wherein the molding of the insulation system involves injecting a first semiconducting compound into a first mold cavity to form an inner semiconducting layer around the naked conductor section, injecting an insulation compound into a second mold cavity to form an insulation layer around the inner semiconducting layer, and injecting a second semiconducting compound into a third mold cavity to form an outer semiconducting layer around the insulation layer.

摘要: A shielded electrical cable includes one or more conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and being spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. Each conductor set has one or more conductors having a size no greater than 24 AWG and each conductor set has an insertion loss of less than about −20 dB/meter over a frequency range of 0 to 20 GHz. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable, the first and second films including cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the first and second films in combination substantially surround each conductor set, and the pinched portions of the first and second films in combination form pinched portions of the cable on each side of each conductor.
