    摘要: An electronic reverberation system employs a processor to produce a plurality of delays samples that are added to a direct signal to produce reverberant sound. The disclosed system generates or employs a list of gain value pairs that are produced based on control settings or are provided as fixed coefficients. The processor generates reverberation samples by applying these coefficients to delay samples and summing their amplitudes to produce reverberation waveform samples. The reverberation waveform samples are added to the direct signal.

An EM musical instrument, in response to receiving the corresponding excitation signal, generates an EM output signal associated with a produced sound. The system also includes an EM output receiver coupled to the EM musical instrument to receive the EM output signal.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a waveform synthesizer apparatus that synthesizes a waveform of a musical sound based on musical performance event information. In particular, a music synthesizer includes an overlap detector that detects whether a first and second musical sound overlap, and a sound length meter that determines a sound length of the first musical sound. If the first and second musical sounds overlap, the synthesizer instantly terminates synthesizing of the first sound and starts synthesizing the second sound, provided the length of the first sound does not exceed a predetermined length. If the first and second sounds do not overlap, synthesis of the first sound is terminated, and the synthesis of the second sound is initiated, if it is determined that the length of rest between the two sounds does not exceed a predetermined length, and that the first sound does not exceed a predetermined length.

    摘要: A lighting display master controller responds to an electronic vibration signal produced by a sensor when an instrument is played, to selectively energize light sources of different colors in a predefined pattern. The master controller energizes specific light sources of a desired color by selecting a row and column within an array. In one embodiment, the light sources are on a flexible substrate disposed within an optically transparent plastic sheath that is attached to the instrument. The pattern applied in selectively energizing light sources can be stored or transmitted in real-time from a concert controller host or personal computer. The light system can also be used to enable a student to practice and record a sequence defined by an instructor. The lights that are energized provide visual cues to the student, and the recording that is made enables the instructor to evaluate the student's performance.
