In both electrographic printing and ink pen embodiments, the vacuum port comprises a vacuum chamber surrounding the discharge port. The charge despositing styli in the electrographic printing embodiment are also surrounded by the vacuum chamber.

    摘要: An electrophotographic liquid developer may be prepared by admixture of a dye and a mordant therefor in the presence of (1) a suitable binder, (2) a solvent for the binder and (3) a liquid precipitation medium; the solvent for the binder is substantially removed; and the resultant dope is added to a suitable liquid carrier to form a dispersion of finely divided toner particles in the liquid carrier. The toner particles thus formed contain a dye-mordant salt precipitate dispersed in the binder.

    摘要: An electrophotographic liquid-developing method comprising controlling the polarity of the toner by varying the temperature of the developer solution. An electrostatic charge-substrate having an electrostatically charged latent image is immersed in the developer solution to convert such latent image into a visible image. The developer solution comprises a toner consisting of pigment particles and at least one resin selected from the group consisting of alkyd resin, phenol resin and vinyl resin, and a carrier liquid in which said toner is dispersed. The carrier liquid comprises at least one dispersion medium having different affinities to said resin depending on the temperature.
