Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for high flame temperature oxy-combustion that enables the capture of CO2 cost effectively. One part of the presently disclosed subject matter comprises an annular shroud burner which utilizes a supply of undiluted oxygen and minimal flue gas recycle to generate a high flame temperature to maximize efficiency. The annular shroud burner may deliver oxygen into a combustion zone where mixing of the oxygen and a stream of fuel occurs. Flue gas recycled from the exit of the combustion system serves the dual purpose of conveying the coal into the reaction zone, as well as providing local cooling and protection from high incident heat fluxes through the novel shroud cooling design. The annular shroud burner may be configured to produce an axial jet flame that controls the rate of mixing of oxygen and fuel, thereby extending the heat release. Oxygen and coal may be mixed in a ratio such that peak flame temperatures exceed 4,500° F. (2,482° C.) while the flow of recycled flue gas is regulated to control flame temperature and protect burner components and near-burner surfaces.

Abstract: A burning stove includes a stove body, a front seat, a door, a rear seat, a top cover, and a baffle. The baffle divides the stove body into an air inlet chamber and a combustion chamber. The door is provided with first air inlet holes and second air inlet holes. The baffle is provided with first air holes. The baffle is provided with an air guide port and an air guide face. First partial air flows backward in the air inlet chamber, flows through the air guide port and the air guide face, and flows upward into the combustion chamber, and second partial air in the air inlet chamber flows through the first air holes into the combustion chamber. The first partial air and the second partial air form a vortex air flow in the combustion chamber.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a selectively-closable hatch for automatically preventing airflow through the blower inlet of a fuel-burning grill. The hatch has a first, normal, resting closed configuration which prevents the flow of air through the inlet and into the cooking chamber of the grill, and a second, open configuration which is obtained when a fan is engaged to create a forceful airflow through the inlet path. The force of air pushed against the hatch pushes the hatch open, both when the fan is disengaged or falls below a minimum strength, the hatch returns to the closed configuration and prevents air from being drawn or otherwise flowing through the inlet path into the cooking chamber of the grill.
