摘要: The invention provides a body-worn patch sensor for simultaneously measuring a blood pressure (BP), pulse oximetry (SpO2), and other vital signs and hemodynamic parameters from a patient. The patch sensor features a sensing portion having a flexible housing that is worn entirely on the patient's chest and encloses a battery, wireless transmitter, and all the sensor's sensing and electronic components. It measures electrocardiogram (ECG), impedance plethysmogram (IPG), photoplethysmogram (PPG), and phonocardiogram (PCG) waveforms, and collectively processes these to determine the vital signs and hemodynamic parameters. The sensor that measures PPG waveforms also includes a heating element to increase perfusion of tissue on the chest.

摘要: Wearable technologies, such as wearable health monitors, and methods of use are provided. In some embodiments, the wearable technology can be worn at the wrist of an individual and can use an accelerometer, pulse oximeter, and electrocardiogram to measure heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, pulse wave velocity, and activity. This information can then be provided to the individual. The individual can alter their behaviors and relationships with their own health by using features such as notifications and auto-tagging to better understand their own stress, diet, sleep, and exercise levels over various time periods and subsequently make appropriate behavioral changes.

摘要: Systems and methods for home monitoring and detection of febrile neutropenia in a patient are provided. The system includes a photoplethysmographic sensor for sensing photoplethysmographic signals of the patient, and one or more blood borne parameter sensors for sensing parameters in the patient's blood. A febrile neutropenia monitoring application receives information sensed by the photoplethysmography sensor and the one or more blood borne parameter sensors and determines, based on the received information, the presence or deterioration of febrile neutropenia. The method includes the steps of: sensing photoplethysmographic signals of the patient with a photoplethysmographic sensor worn by the patient; sensing blood borne parameters in the patient's blood with one or more blood borne parameter sensors; transmitting the sensed photoplethysmographic signals and blood borne parameters to a febrile neutropenia monitoring application; and determining, by the febrile neutropenia monitoring application, the presence or deterioration of febrile neutropenia based on the received information.

摘要: A photoplethysmograph device includes a light source for illuminating a target object. A modulator drives the light source such that the output intensity varies as a function of a modulation signal at a modulation frequency. A detector receives light from the target object and generates an electrical output as a function of the intensity of received light. A demodulator with a local oscillator receives the detector output and produces a demodulated output, insensitive to any phase difference between the modulation signal and the oscillator, indicative of blood volume as a function of time and/or blood composition. A number of demodulators may be provided to derive signals from multiple light sources of different wavelengths, or from an array of detectors. The plethysmograph may operate in a transmission mode or a reflectance mode. When in a reflectance mode, the device may use the green part of the optical spectrum and may use polarising filters.

摘要: This invention discloses a novel method for monitoring and analyzing human cardiovascular functions and the equipment implementing the said method. It presents a portable device with the implemented measurement-analytical method that enables monitoring of heart function and selectively of brain tissue functions by measuring electrical bioimpedance along with electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmogram (PPG) measurements.
The presented method and equipment allow to measure two types of cardiovascular parameters, to process, synchronize, analyze them and thus to obtain information about the state of cardio and brain vascular activity changing over time. Also, spatial analysis is applied to the measured bioimpedance data which together with the temporal analysis data allows determining the patient's condition and how it changes after stroke.-

摘要: Apparatus and methods for the measurement, control, or both, of thermodilution injectate flow for calculation of transpulmonary thermodilution parameters. An injectate delivery system includes a syringe for holding an injectate and a conduit configured at one end to be connected to a catheter. A flow measurement device is interposed in the conduit to generate a signal for determining the flow rate of the fluid from the syringe to the catheter. A processor receives the signal from the flow measurement device and calculates the injectate volume to be used as input for calculating a transpulmonary thermodilution parameter such as cardiac output. A GUI is provided to direct a user on whether the injection rate is too fast or too slow. Rather than measuring or calculating flow rate, a system may include a constant flow valve to provide a constant flow rate from the syringe.
