    摘要: A medical chair includes a seat supported by a base and actuators adapted to both tilt and lift the seat with respect to the base. A controller controls the actuators to both lift and tilt the seat as the seat moves from the sitting position to the standing position. The movement from the sitting position to the standing position assists in the egress of an occupant from the chair, while the movement from the standing position to the sitting position assists in the ingress of an occupant to the chair. A backrest on the chair remains substantially vertically oriented during movement between the sitting and standing position so as to provide more comfort to the occupant during the sit-to-stand or stand-to-sit movement. The backrest also moves in a manner that generally keeps the occupant's torso vertically aligned with his or her hips during this movement.

    摘要: A seating device such as a chair or sofa. The seating device includes a frame, a seat platform supported by the frame, and a backrest attached to the seat platform. The seat platform has opposite front and rear ends. The backrest has a first backrest portion extending upwardly from proximate the rear end of the seat platform. A lower end of the first backrest portion is positioned adjacent to an upper surface of the seat platform. The first backrest portion is capable of being moved forwardly and rearwardly along the upper surface of the seat platform while the lower end remains proximate the upper surface of the seat platform. A backrest-adjustment powered actuator operates the backrest for moving at least the first backrest portion forwardly and rearwardly partially along the upper surface of the seat platform to adjust an effective depth of the seat platform.

    摘要: An integrated user interface system being disposed at a chair and methods for manufacturing and using same. The user interface system comprises one or more interface elements that are disposed at an armrest or other suitable chair location and that are obscured from view or otherwise de-emphasized when a user is distal from the user interface system. At least one selected interface element becomes emphasized when a user hand becomes proximate to the user interface system. The selected interface element can become emphasized, for example, by becoming visible and/or by forming a raised projection. Upon becoming emphasized, the selected interface element is activated for use and can be manipulated to interact with available system resources. The chair advantageously can appear to be an ordinary chair when the user interface system is not in use and can present the user interface system when the user wishes to access the system resources.

    摘要: A smart seat mechanism of an exercise equipment includes a parallel four-link rod cushion module having a cushion with an electrically adjustable height position, a lead screw, a lift tube, and an electric motor. The smart seat mechanism is operated together with an electronic control panel having a built-in program, so that a user can adjust the height of the cushion freely according to the user's figure and height and the comfort of use. The electric motor is set by the built-in program of the electronic control panel, such that the cushion is descended to the lowest position automatically before/after exercise, to facilitate the user to get on/off the exercise equipment. The electronic control panel is operated with the built-in program and has a plurality of quick memory keys provided for a specific user to adjust the height of the cushion quickly and automatically.

    摘要: The present invention includes an ergonomic chair that is useful for people who sit for an extended period of time at work, in avoiding work station related back pain and neck pain. The present invention incorporates a hemispherical seat which can be locked in position and comprises a fixed inner hemisphere, a movable outer hemisphere, and a shroud. The support pole where the inner hemisphere is bolted into absorbs the load from the user, and the outer hemisphere equipped with hydraulic or pneumatic resistance devices and attached to the tension springs provides a balanced movement of the chair. Accordingly, while sitting on the chair, the present invention allows no deformation on the rigid hemispherical seat, and keeps the spine of the user in a desirable alignment, further improving the internal function of the user's organs. The present invention can also be used as an office stretch GYM ball.
