A contact base for moving a contact member is located between the thermal release and the electromagnetic release. 摘要: The disclosure relates to an electrical installation switching device, having a switching mechanism with a latching point which can be unlatched manually by means of a switching toggle or by means of an electromagnetic or thermal release, having a tripping lever which can be operated by the electromagnetic and thermal release and acts on the latching point, having a latching lever which forms one element of the latching point, and having a movable contact lever, which can pivot, is acted on by the electrical release in the event of a short-circuit and is moved permanently to the disconnected position by the switching mechanism in the event of a short-circuit or overcurrent. The latching lever (which is mounted in the enclosure such that it can rotate) together with the tripping lever forms the latching point. The tripping lever is mounted such that it can rotate on the same rotation axis as the switching toggle. A projection which holds a first limb of a U-bracket is integrally formed on the switching toggle, diametrically opposite the switching handle, and its other, second limb is guided such that it can move in an elongated hole in the elongated latching lever and is connected in an articulated manner to a connecting lug, whose other end is connected to the contact lever, which is mounted such that it can rotate.

摘要: A circuit breaker comprises high-duty arc-quenching means 23 and a latching mechanism 19, which is adapted to be electromagnetically and thermoelectrically unlatched by means of a snap-action bimetal disk 52 to open contacting means 21 in response to an overload. The snap-action bimetal disk 52 is held in a carrying body 32, which has a high thermal conductivity and which carries an electromagnetic exciter coil 33 and contains an associated plunger 42. For tripping in response to an overload, the plunger 42 is adapted to be actuated either electromagnetically and/or by the snap-action bimetal disk 52. The movable contact 21 will remain open when the latching mechanism 19 has been unlatched. In response to a movement of the plunger 42 out of its make position, the latching mechanism 19 is unlatched by a first arm of a two-armed lever 37, which is made of lucite and is pivoted to the carrying body 42. The contacting means 21 are adapted to be struck open by the second arm 41 of the lever 37. The second arm is integrally formed with a baffle wall 43, by which a plasma or electric arc column that is generated as the contacting means 21 are struck open is urged toward the arc-quenching means 23.

摘要: An accessory module (104) for use with a circuit breaker (10) is configured for mounting to the breaker, and has a rotor (142) which follows the movement of the circuit breaker blade (24) in the breaker by means of a coupling member (118) passing through a passage (110) in the circuit breaker wall. A portion of the rotor is configured as a cam (162) operating a switch (152) in the module, the switch thus giving a reliable indication of the position of the breaker blade. The breaker is preferably of the type which has a trip lever (50) carried on the breaker blade and mounted for slight movement thereon, and the rotor is preferably coupled to the trip lever. A solenoid (148) within the accessory module is disposed to rotate the rotor when energized, this rotation being coupled to trip the breaker to provide for remote tripping. Since the trip lever is carried with the breaker blade, the blade position is monitored by the switch.

摘要: An operating mechanism of an electrical circuit breaker comprises a handle coupled to a transmission rod to form a toggle, a movable contact support device having a plate mounted with rotation on a pivot, and a mechanical link breakable by the action of a trip lever. The link is formed by a retaining catch of the trip lever cooperating with a latch pivotally mounted on a spindle of the plate. The rod is coupled directly to the latch, the assembly constituting a gearing-down stage enabling the tripping force to be reduced. The bimetal strip is connected to the trip lever by a rotating tie-rod with uni-directional transmission.
