摘要: The scale of modeled building objects from collected imagery is determined by identifying architectural elements within building object imagery, determining a scale of the identified architectural elements by matching them to known industry standard architectural element based on dimensional ratio comparisons and deriving an average scaling factor based on scale of the identified architectural elements. A three dimensional model of the building object is scaled according to the average scaling. Scaled architecture elements within a relative error can be used for scaling the model according to an updated scale factor.

摘要: Method for creating marker-based shared augmented reality (AR) session starts with initializing a shared AR session by a first device and by a second device. The first device displays on a display a marker. The second device detects the marker using a camera included in the second device and captures an image of the marker using the camera. The second device determines a transformation between the first device and the second device using the image of the marker. A common coordinate frame is then determined using the transformation, the shared AR session is generated using the common coordinate frame, and the shared AR session is caused to be displayed by the first device and by the second device. Other embodiments are described herein.

摘要: A method of operating a computing system to generate a model of an environment represented by a mesh is provided. The method allows to update 3D meshes to client applications in real time with low latency to support on the fly environment changes. The method provides 3D meshes adaptive to different levels of simplification requested by various client applications. The method provides local update, for example, updating the mesh parts that are changed since last update. The method also provides 3D meshes with planarized surfaces to support robust physics simulations. The method includes segmenting a 3D mesh into mesh blocks. The method also includes performing a multi-stage simplification on selected mesh blocks. The multi-stage simplification includes a pre-simplification operation, a planarization operation, and a post-simplification operation.

摘要: During an analysis technique, a three-dimensional (3D) image of a portion of an individual is transformed to facilitate accurate determination of detailed annotation of an anatomical structure (such as: specifying the size of the anatomical structure based on annotation markers, an orientation of the anatomical structure, a direction of the anatomical structure and/or a location of the anatomical structure). In particular, in response to receiving information specifying a two-dimensional (2D) plane having an angular position in the 3D image, the 3D image is translated and rotated from an initial position and orientation so that the 2D plane is presented in an orientation parallel to a reference 2D plane of a display. Then, after information specifying the detailed annotation in the 2D plane is received, the 3D image is translated and rotated back to the initial position and orientation.
