摘要: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a display and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to input stroke data corresponding to a handwritten stroke, display a first stroke on the display, change a display mode of the first stroke from a first display mode to a second display mode when a first-time first operation related to the first stroke is detected through the display, and change a display mode of the first stroke from the second display mode to a third display mode when a second-time first operation related to the first stroke is detected through the display following the first-time first operation.

摘要: Technologies are generally provided for converting handwritten ink input to text annotations. A user may provide handwritten ink input to content displayed on a computing device to edit and mark up the content. The ink input may be provided employing touch or an electronic stylus on a user interface of the computing device to edit the content. The ink input may be processed to identify insertion of comments, deletion of text, and to identify insertion of markup symbols and shapes. The ink input may be converted to a text annotation based on a context of the ink input and a grammar and proofreading analysis. The text annotation may be displayed in an annotation view. The ink input may be converted periodically after predefined periods of time and upon detection of selection of a conversion button to activate conversion of the ink input.

摘要: A handwriting recognition apparatus facilitates user entry of strokes one on top of another. The apparatus, which includes a processor and a display integrated with a touch sensitive screen, receives a series of strokes via the screen. Each stroke is defined by contact, trace, and lift occurrences. Each stroke appears on the display until occurrence of a prescribed event, and then disappears. The apparatus accumulates strokes into a buffer and interprets all accumulated strokes collectively against a character database and optionally a linguistic database, to identify multiple candidate strings that could be represented by the accumulated strokes. The apparatus displays candidate strings for user selection after all strokes have faded, or after receiving a user submitted delimiter, or after a given delay has elapsed following user entry of the latest stroke. Alternatively, candidate strings are displayed after each stroke without waiting for timeout or explicit delimiter.

摘要: A stand alone low cost writing pad includes a rechargeable battery, a low capacity memory, a low power processor, a first pair of connectors and supports audio, video and digital ink capturing functionalities. The writing may be detached from and re-attached to a stand alone base unit using the first pair of connectors. The base unit includes another rechargeable battery, high capacity memory, high power processor and a second pair of connectors. First data bus of the writing pad and second data bus of the base unit respectively run into the first pair of connectors and the second pair of connectors thereby ensuring that a communication pathway is set up between the writing pad and base unit when the writing pad is attached to the base unit. The base unit receives the captured audio and digital ink from the writing pad via the communication pathway and the high power processor runs voice recognition and optical character recognition software on received data to generate a second data. The second data is displayed on the writing pad and/or stored in the high capacity memory for future use.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a storing module and a display controller. The storing module stores a plurality of handwritten document data in a storage medium, each of the handwritten document data including stroke data corresponding to strokes, and region data indicative of a first region set for one or more first strokes of the plurality of strokes, the first strokes corresponding to a symbol. The display controller displays, if the plurality of handwritten document data are searched by a search key and the search key corresponds to the symbol, a list of first regions in the plurality of handwritten document data, the first regions corresponding to the symbol.
