Abstract:
A copying apparatus, having an editing function, charges a rotating photoconductive drum 61 by chargers 63 and 65 and forms an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductive drum 61 by projecting an image of a document on the drum 61, whereby the electrostatic latent image is developed by toner. An erasure array 4 including LED elements is provided close to the photoconductive drum 61. In an edit copy mode, data for specifying a region to be copied on the document is inputted by using keys on an operation panel. As a result, the erasure array 4 removes the electric charge on a region of the photoconductive drum 61 corresponding to the specified region prior to exposure, whereby the electrostatic latent image can be prevented from being formed on this region. At this time, a control apparatus controls the extent of emission of light of the erasure array 4 and the timing for the emission of light of the erasure array 4 based on the input data, thereby to prevent occurrence of deviation in boundary portions of the region defined in the edit copy mode.
Abstract:
An electrostatic recording apparatus capable of setting any desired position on a recording medium for transferring a toner image, and a device for controlling the amount of toner supply in two-component development. A position for forming a reference latent image potential is shifted relatively based on shift data which is representative of a position for transferring the toner image of a potential corresponding to a document image to the recording medium, whereby rapid recording is promoted and, yet, adequate developer density control is achieved.
Abstract:
An image editing system which comprises a memory device capable of storing editing data in memory, copying device to perform edited-image copying based on data stored in the memory device which is attached to the copying device, and an input device, which is separate from the copying device, for entering edited data in the memory device.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus comprises an editor for imputting data for specifying a desired area of a document and designating an edit mode for the specified area, a memory for storing the data of the specified area and data of the designated edit mode, a copying machine for copying an image of an arbitrary area of the document on copy paper and generating an auto-clear signal after a lapse of a predetermined period, and control means for controlling the copying machine based on the data stored in the memory. Thus, when the auto-clear signal is outputted from the copying machine, only the designation of the edit mode in the editor is canceled and the data of the specified area and the edit mode are maintained in the memory.
Abstract:
A coordinate input apparatus (editor) of a copying apparatus and the like includes: a tablet to output a signal indicative of a position which is arbitrarily designated; a pointing device to designate an arbitrary point on the tablet; a recognizing circuit to recognize the positions in the X and Y directions of the point designated by the pointing device; a data memory to store the positions of the designated point; a controller which, when a special area on the tablet is designated by the pointing device, allows the signal indicative of the special area to be output; and a correcting circuit to correct the range of the special area. The positions of the designated point in the X and Y directions are detected a plurality of times and compared. The input coordinate data is discriminated by the result of the comparison to see if it is valid or invalid. When the input data is valid, a copying operation is performed. When it is invalid, the copying operation is stopped and the fact that the input data is improper is displayed by an LED indicator and a buzzer is activated. With this apparatus, the coordinate data can be accurately input from the editor and also the accurate trimming or masking of the image can be realized without an erroneous input operation.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus capable of making a copy of selected area of a document achieves various procedure of partly copying in combination with an automatic document feeder capable of inverting the document, an area selecting mechanism with a block indication, an automatically magnification selecting mechanism, an automatically paper-size selecting mechanism, a duplex mechanism and a copy paper re-feeding mechanism.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic printing machine in which an edited copy of an original document is formed. A video image of the original document is displayed and the machine operator adjusts the image as desired. After being adjusted, an edited copy of the video image is reproduced by the printing machine.
Abstract:
A copier having eraser means for erasing needless ones of latent images which are electrostatically formed on a photoconductive element. A non-erase area is set up in consideration of a paper size, document size, trimming size and magnification. The non-erase size corresponds to a particular area where a paper size, a document size (with a magnification changed) and a trimming size (with a magnification changed) overlap each other. The non-erase area is displayed to facilitate confirmation by an operator. Latent images outside of the non-erase area are erased by the eraser means.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, for example, there is slidably provided a CCD unit comprising a CCD and a plurality of filters in the light path of a lens block for magnification and reduction of a multicolor image forming apparatus, in which the CCD performs an irradiation scanning operation of an original using the plurality of filters in turn to sense the original image and then convert it into a series of electric signals which are used for color identification, the color identification data thus obtained being used to operate developing units selectively and an erasure array so as to form a multicolor image corresponding to the original.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is provided with a light emitting element for indicating a specific range of an original disposed on an original table, and the other light emitting elements for erasing the electric charge on the surface of a photosensitive body in response to the specific range of the original indicated by the light emitting element. A spot light is applied to the original on the original table by the light emitting element, and moved to specify the perimeter of an erasure range. In image forming, the specific range inside the perimeter is defined by an erasure range designating key and is developed through the black toner by a developing device. On the other side, the specific range outside the perimeter is defined by the other erasure range designating key and is developed through the red toner by the other developing device.
