摘要： Apparatuses for the infeed of cartridges predominantly of two different types of ammunition to a Gatling-type gun or weapon system, can be stationarily installed if there are employed, apart from two transport devices, storage devices for the intermediate storage of the empty cases or spent cartridges during the reverse clearing operation following a firing burst. There is prevented transport of empty cases or spent cartridges during reverse clearing by the Gatling-type gun and there is attained the result that the Gatling-type gun is free of empty cases prior to accomplishing a new firing burst. Additionally, it is possible to fire cartridges or ammunition rounds of one type of ammunition without interruption from two ammunition magazines.

摘要： A magazine chain for receiving rounds of ammunition in a parallel series includes end-to-end arranged link plates articulated to one another and forming a first and a second endless link plates series extending parallel spaced to one another; side-by-side arranged retaining members extending from each link plate of the first series to a respective aligned link plate of the second series; two support faces forming part of each retaining member for partially circumferentially surrounding and engaging adjoining rounds of ammunition; and side-by-side arranged cradles extending from the link plates of the first series to a respective aligned link plate of the second series. Each cradle is articulated to link pins joining adjacent link plates to one another. A slot is provided in each end plate of each cradle centrally with respect thereto and generally radially to the respective link pins. Two levers are pivoted to each link plate and are jointed to one another by a guide pin received in the respective slot. As a result of this arrangement, during a non-linear travel of the magazine chain, adjoining link plates pivot with respect to one another and the associated support faces approach the associated cradle from opposite sides for clearing a path to radially remove a round of ammunition from, or place it into the cradle.

摘要： A rapid-fire automatic gun is provided with a first magazine for a smaller number of rounds, and a second magazine for a greater number of rounds. The magazines include first and second round advancement members. The first of the round advancement members is controlled by the automatic gun itself, therefore round advancement speed, in the first magazine, is dependent upon the gun firing rate. The second round advancement members is driven by a driver which provides a maximum round advancement speed in the second magazine, for example 300 rounds per minute, considerably less than the maximum round advancement speed in the first magazine. When a difference in advancement speeds of the first and second magazines occurs, a transferring member for transferring rounds from the second to the first magazine provides gap formation in the row of rounds in the first magazine by successively filling them during and after firing.

摘要： An automatic loading arrangement of a gun barrel weapon. An ammunition holder is provided having a portion which is adapted to be pivotally connected to another ammunition holder and so on to form a band magazine, for the purpose of holding thin-walled cartridged ammunition units, preferably tank and armored vehicle ammunition having a combustible casing, which ammunition can be transported and guided to a loading tray or chamber without being damaged by outside influences, for example travel shocks, vibrations, etc.The ammunition holder has a semi-circular arcuately shaped tray adapted to conform with the shape of the cartridged ammunition, which tray has a small inner diameter region to matingly receive the projectile head and a relatively larger inner diameter region adapted to matingly receive the cartridge bottom. Pivotally mounted holding clamps are mounted in the small and large inner diameter regions so as to encompass the ammunition at a longitudinal side thereof, which holding clamps includes corresponding opening and closing mechanisms which are adapted to be connected to each other via formlocking means. The formlocking means coact with the opening and closing mechanism and an ammunition expeller for purposes to provide, on the one hand, a uniform joint opening of the holding clamps and an ammunition sparing unloading process, as well as, on the other hand, a mutual independent reverse stroke of the holding clamps so that the thin-walled cartridged ammunition can be held in a soft-locking safety position in the ammunition holder in a radial play-free manner when exterior disturbing influences occur.

Each unit includes two unit halves formed as longitudinally-sectioned, closed-ended, hollow cylinders.
