    摘要: A transmission arrangement for an engine driven vehicle having two continuously variable transmissions serving to drive left and right hand vehicle wheels at separately variable drive ratios. Each transmission incorporates a variator of the type in which a net torque applied to the variator through its input and output is referred to a ratio control part, which may be formed as a control lever, whose position governs the transmission's drive ratio. The control parts of the variators are each operatively coupled to a driver's speed control, such that the speed control determines a mean position of the two control parts. However they are both also able to move relative to the mean position, under the influence of the torque they react. Additionally the control parts are coupled to each other such that any displacement of one control part from the mean position is accompanied by an opposite displacement of the other control part. In this way the transmissions are enabled to the relative speeds of the driven vehicle wheels automatically to reduce or even eliminate wheel slip, whilst still providing the driver with control over overall vehicle speed.

    摘要: The invention is a tracked vehicle comprising a platform having a right and left side and a central axis pivotally mounted on a housing. The platform is pivotally movable between a first position wherein the right side is below the left side and a second position wherein the left side is below the right side. The vehicle includes a pair of parallel right and left tracks mounted to the housing below the platform, the right track and the left track coupled to a right track drive and a left track drive, respectively, the right and left track drives operatively coupled to the platform. When pivoted towards the first position, the left track is driven faster than the right track. When pivoted towards the second position, the right track is driven faster than the left track. In a central platform position the left and right drives operate at the same speed.

    摘要: A self-propelled working vehicle comprises a front wheel unit, a rear wheel unit including a left rear wheel and a right rear wheel, and a drive transmission apparatus for transmitting drive from an engine to the rear wheel unit. The drive transmission apparatus includes a first drive transmission mechanism for transmitting the drive to the left rear wheel and a second drive transmission mechanism for transmitting the drive to the right rear wheel. The first transmission mechanism is arranged at the left side of the vehicle body, while the second transmission mechanism is arranged at the right side of the vehicle body. A brake assembly is arranged between the first drive transmission mechanism and the second drive transmission mechanism for acting on an output shaft of a first transmission unit and an output shaft of a second transmission unit. The first and second transmission units act as first and second change speed devices, respectively, which are operable independently of each other.

    摘要: A power transmission is provided including a pair of input shafts with a first gear train drivingly connecting the input shafts for equal inverse rotation. An output shaft is also provided and second gear train structure drivingly connects each of the input shafts to the output shaft for rotation of the latter in response to inverse rotation in the input shafts. Also, a powered shaft is provided and torque transmitting structure drivingly connects the powered shaft to a selected input shaft for rotation of either input shaft in the same direction in response to a given directional rotation of the powered shaft. The power transmission is duplicated in a second transmission with the output shafts of the power transmissions drivingly connected to opposite side drive wheels of a vehicle, whereby the power transmissions may be equally actuated for forward and reverse movement of the associated vehicle as well as inversely operated for steering the associated vehicle.
