摘要： A duplexing filter suitable for use in a mobile communication system. The filter has a core of dielectric material with several through holes that define resonators. The core has metallized surfaces except for a portion of the top and bottom surfaces. At least one metallized resonator pad surrounds through holes on the top and bottom surfaces. A metallized serpentine region extends from the resonator pad on the bottom surface toward a side surface of the core. The metallized serpentine region causes attenuation of a third harmonic frequency.

摘要： A seat belt tension sensor is attached to a seat belt assembly in a vehicle. The seat belt tensor sensor is secured to the vehicle by a bolt. The sensor includes a housing that is secured by the bolt. An anchor plate is mounted to the housing. The anchor plate has a hole for the bolt and an opening. A strain gage is secured to the housing and extends into the opening. The strain gage has an aperture. A spring is located between the anchor plate and the strain gage. An actuator support is located between the spring and the strain gage to actuate the strain gage. The actuator has a projection extending through the aperture that contacts the anchor plate. The projection prevents a shift in the output of the strain gage when the sensor is subjected to mechanical shock.

摘要： A pressure sensor for sensing a pressure level of a medium. The pressure sensor includes a rigid substrate having a medium contacting side and a pressure sensitive resistor mounted on the medium contacting side. The resistor exhibits a change in resistance in response to pressure changes on the resistor above a predetermined threshold. Other embodiments of the invention are shown using a wheatstone bridge with pressure sensitive resistors and resistors that are insensitive to pressure changes.

摘要： An embodiment of the invention is a modular card style radio-signal modem suitable for wireless data communication to a personal computer. The modem comprises a main circuit board substrate defining an opening, a card-to-computer connection interface operably linked to the circuit board, a radio transceiver on the circuit board in communication with the connection interface. The radio transceiver has a receiver input and a transmitter output. The card modem also includes a dielectric block antenna duplexer attached to the circuit board and suspended in the opening, the duplexer having a transmit signal input in electric communication with the transmitter output, a receive signal output in electric communication with the receiver input and an antenna connection electrode.

摘要： A tuneable frequency translator is disclosed having electrical circuitry mounted to a circuit board. The circuitry is designed to provide a phase-locked loop with a resonator. Compliant material is positioned between the resonator and the circuit board. Operably coupled to the resonator is at least one passive device that is short-circuited by an electrically conductive lead. The resonant frequency of the frequency translator can be changed by severing the electrically conductive lead, and thus activating the associated passive device.

Several bumps are located on the top surface. The bumps extend above the top surface. The bumps are arranged in a pattern. A dielectric material is located on the top surface. At least one strain sensitive resistor is located on the dielectric material. Several conductive traces are formed on the dielectric material and are electrically connected with the strain sensitive resistor.

Several conductive pads are located on the top surface. Several passive circuit elements are located on the top surface between the conductive pads. An insulative coating is placed on top of the passive circuit elements and the substrate. The insulative coating has openings over the conductive pads. The openings are adapted to be accessible by an electrical probe. Conductive vias extend through the substrate between the top and bottom surfaces. The vias electrically connect with the conductive pad on the top surface. Several conductive balls are located on the bottom surface. Each conductive ball is electrically connected to one of the vias.

The sensor is adapted to provide an electrical signal that is indicative of a magnitude of tension on the moveable bar. A spring is located between the bracket and the moveable bar. The spring biases the moveable bar away from the bracket.
