Abstract:
The present invention is a method for controlling re-direction between heterogeneous mobile communication systems, comprising a step in which a terminal, a connection request of which is rejected from a first communication system (UTRAN), receives, from a second communication system to which the terminal intends to connect, information indicating that the second communication system does not support the terminal; a step of setting information for preventing re-direction to the second communication system; and a step of transmitting, to the first communication system, a request for connection to the first communication system, which includes the information.
Abstract:
A method, performed by a mobile management entity (MME), for providing a voice call service to a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system and the MME are provided. The method includes sending, to an evolved node B (eNB), a first message for paging to provide the voice call service to the UE; receiving, from the eNB, a second message including a cause associated with a domain change from a packet switching (PS) domain to a circuit switching (CS) domain; and sending, to a gateway in the PS domain, a third message for requesting suspension of a bearer to provide a service for the UE.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for receiving a service by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system comprises, transmitting, through an access layer to the base station, a service request message including at least one of a service name related to application data, the application data, and a temporary UE identity and receiving, from the base station, a service request accept message including response data of the application data provided from a base station server connected with a base station.
Abstract:
A PCEF for setting a PCC rule in a mobile communication network includes: a receiver for receiving a command message including a monitoring key list including at least one monitoring key corresponding to a PCC rule and a number of instances monitored in a corresponding service, from a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF); a setting unit for setting the PCC rule based on the command message and setting a monitoring key according to the at least one monitoring key; and a monitoring processor for setting a range of monitoring in consideration of the number of instances and the at least one monitoring key, and performing monitoring based on the set range of the monitoring.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for communication between a first terminal capable of using both a Circuit Switched (CS) call and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) session, and a second terminal capable of using the IMS session, in a communication system supporting a Combined CS call and IMS session (CSI service). If the second terminal sends a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) request (INVITE) message to originate a voice service or a multimedia service including the voice service with the first terminal, a CSI Application Server (AS) of an IMS domain managing the first terminal separates a voice service-related component included in the request message from a multimedia service-related component, and generates and sends first and second request messages to the first terminal. Upon receipt of first and second response messages corresponding to the first and second request messages from the first terminal, the CSI AS generates a combined response message and sends the combined response message to the second terminal.
Abstract:
A method and system in which upon occurrence of a P-CSCF failure, a network sends an IMS reregistration request message to a UE. An S-CSCF or an AS monitors a P-CSCF to detect occurrence of a failure in the P-CSCF. Upon detecting the occurrence of a P-CSCF failure, the S-CSCF or the AS sends a request message for IMS reregistration to the UEs being served by the failed P-CSCF. In this manner, the UE can continuously receive the service even though a failure occurs in the P-CSCF.
Abstract:
The present invention is a method for transmitting a data packet by a user terminal in a mobile communication system. The method enters a power saving mode for transmitting the data packet only if a channel state satisfies a transmission threshold value, compares the index indicating the channel state and the transmission threshold value upon occurrence of a data packet to be transmitted, starts transmission of the data packet if the index indicating the channel state is greater than the transmission threshold value, and proceeds with the transmission of the data packet until the time set by the timer that starts at the same time as the transmission of the data packet expires.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. In addition, the present disclosure relates to a TCP-based transmission control method and apparatus which can reduce a delay time while improving a transmission rate in a communication system. A method for TCP-based transmission control in a communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: determining a maximum target transmission rate for TCP control using maximum congestion windows (CWNDs) estimated at predetermined times; determining a minimum target round trip time (RTT) for the TCP control using minimum RTTs estimated at the predetermined times; and updating at least one of a congestion window (CWND) and a receive window (RWND) in an RTT time slot, using the maximum target transmission rate and the minimum target RTT.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for transmitting traffic control information by an Evolved Node B (ENB) in a wireless communication system. The method includes transmitting congestion state information a traffic control node. The congestion state information is used to control traffic for a User Equipment (UE) that is accessing the ENB. And, the congestion state information includes information about a congestion state of the ENB, and is included in a packet header transmitted from the UE.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a L3 handover between CNs in a packet-switched network are provided. When a UE moves from an old RAN to a new RAN, the UE sends a measurement report message including cell information to the old RAN. The old or new RAN determines whether to perform a L3 handover. If the L3 handover is required, a tunnel is established between the new RAN and a new CN. The UE performs a handover from the old RAN to the new RAN, without establishing a tunnel between the new RAN and an old CN. Upon detection of the movement of the UE, the new RAN sends a L2 handover complete message to the old RAN. After moving to the new RAN, the UE acquires a new IP address, performs the L3 handover, and communicates with the new CN through the new RAN.
