    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications in a network. A method includes receiving, from a first user equipment, a first uplink trigger message in a receive direction while in a first energy mode, wherein while in the first energy mode, the network entity is configured to: deactivate any synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) in the receive direction; monitor for uplink trigger messages during one or more configured uplink trigger occasions; and transitioning from the first energy mode to a second energy mode based at least in part on the first uplink trigger message, wherein while in the second energy mode, the network entity is configured to: activate one or more SSBs in the receive direction; and monitor for uplink trigger messages during the one or more configured uplink trigger occasions.

    Abstract: A proxy sensing-based channel access procedure is discussed for shared spectrum networks. Within a given network, a distribution of proxy nodes may be deployed around a network operating area. A control node, which controls the proxy sensing mode for the network, may configure the active network nodes to conduct communications via the shared communication spectrum without first performing any type of channel sensing on the shared communication spectrum. The control node may then also configured the proxy nodes to perform channel sensing on the shared spectrum for the entire network. Using the reported channel sense results from the proxy nodes, the control node may determine whether detected interference is occasional or persistent, and whether to take some action to modify the communications or operations of the network.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A target user equipment (UE) may communicate (e.g., transmit, receive) a message indicating a relay UE for relaying wireless communications between the target UE and a base station. The relay UE is selected from a set of candidate relay UEs based on existing sidelink relay communication links at the relay UE, candidate target UEs associated with the relay UE, existing communication sidelinks between the target UE and the candidate relay UEs, or any combination thereof. The target UE may receive a first control signal indicating a sidelink relay communication link for communicating messages between the first UE and the base station via the relay UE, and receive a second control signal activating the sidelink relay communication link. The target UE may then communicate a message to or from the base station via the relay UE and the sidelink relay communication link.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network are provided. A first wireless communication device may perform in a shared radio frequency band during a first portion of a frame period, a first listen-before-talk (LBT) using a first beam characteristic. Additionally, the first wireless communication device may perform in the shared radio frequency band during a second portion of the frame period, a second LBT using a second set of beam characteristics different from the first beam characteristic. The first wireless communication device may communicate with a second wireless communication device in the shared radio frequency band during the second portion of the frame period, one or more communication signals using the second set of beam characteristics.     Abstract: An apparatus, e.g., a UE, is disclosed. The apparatus may transmit, to a serving cell, UE capability information for performing L1/L2 measurements of at least one target RS received from a non-serving cell and reporting measurement information. The apparatus may receive, based on the transmitted UE capability information, a configuration including a TCI state scheduling the UE to receive the at least one target RS from the non-serving cell based on at least one source RS associated with the TCI state, and to perform the L1/L2 measurements of the at least one target RS. The number of RS reported in the measurement report may be based on at least one of a UE capability, an indication received from the serving cell, a pre-configuration, or an indication received from the serving cell in which the indication is within the UE capability.

An example method at a UE includes establishing a connection with a base station. The example method further includes receiving, from the base station, at least one staggering indication comprising a downlink staggering offset for downlink communication and an uplink staggering offset for uplink communication, the downlink communication being an XR, a VR, or an AR downlink communication and the uplink communication being an XR, a VR, or an AR uplink communication. The example method further includes communicating, with the base station, via downlink communication or uplink communication based on the uplink staggering offset and the downlink staggering offset.
