Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating relay of superpositioned sidelink and uplink transmission are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first communication device includes receiving, from a UE, a MUST transmission including a base layer and an enhancement layer, the base layer comprising a first message for a second communication device and the enhancement layer comprising a second message for the first communication device. The example method also includes decoding the base layer of the MUST transmission to obtain the first message. Additionally, the example method includes receiving a feedback message from the second communication device indicating that the second communication device did not successfully receive the first message. The example method also includes retransmitting the first message to the second communication device in response to the feedback message from the second communication device.

In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may identify a collision on a victim resource based at least in part on an aggressor reservation transmitted by a second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the second UE via a sidelink feedback channel, a resource collision indication that indicates at least one of the victim resource or the aggressor reservation, wherein the resource collision indication is multiplexed on one or more resources that are useable for sidelink feedback. Abstract: A sidelink user equipment (UE) limits sensing of received sidelink communications during a sensing window. The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using physical resource blocks (PRBs) of a sidelink resource pool that, in some cases, might not belong to a sub-channel in sidelink or are assigned to a special sub-channel. When a user equipment (UE) is transmitting a sidelink communication, the sidelink communication often takes place in resource pools that include sub-channels in frequency domain and slots in a time domain. A first subset of PRBs of the resource pool may be assigned to one or more sub-channels in the frequency domain. The disclosed methods, devices, and systems provide for identifying PRBs not assigned to the first subset (e.g., remaining or unused PRBs or PRBs assigned to a special sub-channel). In some aspects of the present disclosure, the UE may use these PRBs for various purposes.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a sidelink wireless communication network. In some examples, a sidelink device generates a DMRS based on first and second identifiers of the sidelink device. In some examples, a sidelink device generates a DMRS based on an initialization parameter and/or at least one scaling parameter. In some examples, the initialization parameter may be based on a first identifier of a sidelink device. In some examples, the at least one scaling parameter may be based on a second identifier of a sidelink device. In some examples, a first sidelink device synchronizes with a second sidelink device based on broadcast channel information that is obtained by using DMRS information to decode a received broadcast signal. In some examples, the DMRS information may be based on first and second identifiers of the first sidelink device.

The UE may select, from one or more of the multiple candidate sets that satisfy a PSFCH transmit power constraint, at least one candidate set that has a highest value for a utility parameter among utility parameters associated with each of the one or more candidate sets that satisfy a PSFCH transmit power constraint. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel estimation for two-stage sidelink control using sidelink data channel demodulation reference signals (DMRS). A user equipment (UE) can transmit DMRS for the sidelink data channel. The UE may transmit the second stage of the sidelink control using antenna ports or a precoder used for the sidelink data channel. The receiving device may receive the DMRS, estimate the channel, and demodulate the second stage of the sidelink control based on the estimated channel. The receiving device may flexibly determine the DMRS to use for the estimation and demodulation.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for flexible resource reservations in sidelink communications. An example method that may be executed by a first user equipment (UE) includes determining, for sidelink communications with a second UE, one or more first resource reservations and one or more second resource reservations. The second resource reservations may have a different frequency resource allocation than the first resource reservations. The method also includes transmitting, to the second UE, control information having an indication of the first resource reservations and the second resource reservations. The method further includes communicating with the second UE based on the first resource reservations and the second resource reservations.
