    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating relay of superpositioned sidelink and uplink transmission are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first communication device includes receiving, from a UE, a MUST transmission including a base layer and an enhancement layer, the base layer comprising a first message for a second communication device and the enhancement layer comprising a second message for the first communication device. The example method also includes decoding the base layer of the MUST transmission to obtain the first message. Additionally, the example method includes receiving a feedback message from the second communication device indicating that the second communication device did not successfully receive the first message. The example method also includes retransmitting the first message to the second communication device in response to the feedback message from the second communication device.

    Abstract: A sidelink user equipment (UE) limits sensing of received sidelink communications during a sensing window. The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a sidelink wireless communication network. In some examples, a sidelink device generates a DMRS based on first and second identifiers of the sidelink device. In some examples, a sidelink device generates a DMRS based on an initialization parameter and/or at least one scaling parameter. In some examples, the initialization parameter may be based on a first identifier of a sidelink device. In some examples, the at least one scaling parameter may be based on a second identifier of a sidelink device. In some examples, a first sidelink device synchronizes with a second sidelink device based on broadcast channel information that is obtained by using DMRS information to decode a received broadcast signal. In some examples, the DMRS information may be based on first and second identifiers of the first sidelink device.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for flexible resource reservations in sidelink communications. An example method that may be executed by a first user equipment (UE) includes determining, for sidelink communications with a second UE, one or more first resource reservations and one or more second resource reservations. The second resource reservations may have a different frequency resource allocation than the first resource reservations. The method also includes transmitting, to the second UE, control information having an indication of the first resource reservations and the second resource reservations. The method further includes communicating with the second UE based on the first resource reservations and the second resource reservations.
