    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may be configured with periodic uplink grants that provide a number of repetitions and a redundancy version (RV) sequence for the repetitions. Prior to the start of an uplink grant period, the UE may determine a set of slots that are available for uplink transmissions in the uplink grant period. Based on the set of slots, the UE may determine a corresponding RV for repetitions of the uplink communication associated with each slot. The slots with uplink transmissions within the uplink grant period may be non-contiguous. Repetitions of an uplink communication may be configured to be transmitted across multiple uplink grant periods, which may be triggered based on a threshold value associated with the repetitions.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that indicates to the UE to apply demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling to physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The UE may maintain phase coherence across multiple PUSCH transmissions, to which the DMRS bundling is applied, to enable joint channel estimation across the multiple PUSCH transmissions. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the configuration, uplink control information (UCI) that includes a coherence indication. The UE may multiplex the UCI with a PUSCH transmission of the multiple PUSCH transmissions to which the DMRS bundling is applied. The coherence indication may indicate whether the PUSCH transmission is coherent with one or more other PUSCH transmissions, of the multiple PUSCH transmissions, transmitted by the UE.     Abstract: Aspects relate to power headroom reporting for carriers unconfigured for uplink communication are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, a power headroom report (PHR) including first power headroom information for a configured carrier configured for uplink communication and second power headroom information for at least one unconfigured carrier that is unconfigured for uplink communication. The UE may further receive, from the network entity, a message indicating a selected carrier comprising one of the configured carrier and the at least one unconfigured carrier in response to the PHR, and may transmit, to the network entity, an uplink transmission via the selected carrier.
