    Abstract: A developing system of a liquid electrophotographic image forming device includes a developer reservoir in which a developer is stored, a development container in which the developer is supplied from the developer reservoir, a development roller rotating opposite to a photosensitive drum in the development container, and a pumping portion connected between the development container and the developer reservoir via connection pipes. The pumping portion supplies the developer to the development container from the developer reservoir or exhaust the developer from the development container and return the developer to the developer reservoir. Accordingly, the developer supplying and exhausting unit of the developing system can be simplified.

    Abstract: Provided is an electric field information reading head for reading information from a surface electric charge of an information storage medium, the electric field information reading head comprising a semiconductor substrate having a resistance region formed in a central part at one end of a surface facing a recording medium, the resistance region being lightly doped with impurities, and source and drain regions formed on both sides of the resistance region, the source region and the drain region being more highly doped with impurities than the resistance region. The source region and the drain region extend along the surface of the semiconductor substrate facing the recording medium, and electrodes are connected electrically with the source region and the drain region respectively. In addition, provided is a method of fabricating the electric field information reading head and a method of mass-producing the electric field information reading head on a wafer.

    Abstract: A perpendicular magnetic recording head and method of manufacturing the same are provided. The perpendicular magnetic recording head records or reads information on or from a perpendicular magnetic recording medium. The perpendicular magnetic recoding head includes a coil, a main pole, and a return pole. The coil serves as a source for generating a magnetic field. The main pole and the return pole constitute a magnetic path of the magnetic field. The main pole includes an end facing the perpendicular magnetic recording medium. The end includes a leading part serving as a front side and a trailing part serving as a rear side with respect to a movement direction of the perpendicular magnetic recording medium. Both edges of the trailing part are chamfered, and the leading part has a plane inclined with respect to an air-bearing surface (ABS). The return pole has an end spaced from the main pole, and the other end connected with the main pole.

    Abstract: A data storage device includes a magnetic layer having a plurality of magnetic domains, a write head provided at an end portion of the magnetic layer, a read head to read data written to the magnetic layer, and a current controller connected to the write head and the read head. A method of operating the data storage device includes reading data of an end portion of the magnetic layer using a read head provided at the end portion of the magnetic layer in which a write head is provided at the other end portion thereof, moving a magnetic domain wall of the magnetic layer by a distance corresponding to the length of one magnetic domain toward the end portion, and writing the read data to the other end portion of the magnetic layer using the write head and a current controller provided between the write head and the read head.

    Abstract: An electric field read/write head, a method of manufacturing the same, and a data read/write device including the electric field read/write head are provided. The data read/write device includes an electric field read/write head which reads and writes data to and from a recording medium. The electric field read/write head includes a semiconductor substrate, a resistance region, source and drain regions, and a write electrode. The semiconductor substrate includes a first surface and a second surface with adjoining edges. The resistance region is formed to extend from a central portion at one end of the first surface to the second surface. The source region and the drain region are formed at either side of the resistance region and are separated from the first surface. The write electrode is formed on the resistance region with an insulating layer interposed between the write electrode and the resistance region.

    Abstract: A recording medium including a perpendicular magnetic recording layer and a laminated SUL formed on a substrate is provided. The SUL includes an antiferromagnetic layer interposed between laminated structures including a magnetic layer, a non-magnetic layer and a magnetic layer. The layers may each have a thickness of 20 nm or less and the layers below the antiferromagnetic layer may be thinner than the layers on the antiferromagnetic layer. The laminated structures formed on and below the antiferromagnetic layer have unidirectional magnetic anisotropies set in the opposite radial direction to each other by an exchange bias. As a result, media magnetic domain noise can be diminished.

    Abstract: A paper guide device which guides a sheet of paper fed to a nip between an image belt and a transfer roller and an image forming apparatus including the same. The paper guide device includes a first convey guiding unit arranged within a predetermined space from an image belt to firstly guiding the paper to a nip between the image belt and a transfer roller.
