Abstract: Embodiments relates to a user equipment for wireless communication; the user equipment comprising logic to: allocate a first resource for transmitting a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); process received signalling comprising an indication of an Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) resource mapping mode on the PUSCH; and determine resource elements for transmitting ACK/NACK information based, at least in part, on the first resource block for transmitting the PUSCH and the received ACK/NACK resource mapping mode on the PUSCH; and transmit the ACK/NACK information on the determined resource elements.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a base station, the RRC signaling indicating a transmission coding scheme for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission. PUSCH-to-phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio is determined using the RRC signaling. A PT-RS power boosting factor is determined based on the transmission coding scheme and the PUSCH-to-PT-RS EPRE ratio. The PT-RS is encoded for transmission using a plurality of PT-RS symbols, the transmission using increased transmission power corresponding to the PT-RS power boosting factor. The RRC signaling further includes a flag enabling the PT-RS transmission. The PUSCH-to-PT-RS EPRE ratio is 00 or 01, and the transmission coding scheme is a codebook-based uplink transmission or non-codebook-based uplink transmission.

Abstract: Technology for decreasing latency for contention based scheduling request (SR) transmission is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can process, for transmission to an enhanced node B (eNB), a DeModulation Reference Signal (DM-RS) that is randomly selected from a set of configured DM-RS sequences or configured by the eNB. The UE can select an SR transmission resource as a function of a DM-RS sequence index or cell identification (ID) based on a predefined mapping rule. The UE can process, for transmission to the eNB, a SR message having a buffer status report (BSR) and UE identification (UE-ID) information on the selected SR transmission resource.

Abstract: Embodiments of an eNB to operate in accordance with a coverage enhancement mode are disclosed herein. The eNB may comprise hardware processing circuitry to, during a legacy sub-frame, transmit a system information block (SIB) in legacy SIB frequency resources according to a legacy SIB transmission format and refrain from transmission of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). The hardware processing circuitry may be further to, during a first coverage enhancement sub-frame, transmit a first portion of the SIB in first SIB frequency resources included in the legacy SIB frequency resources. The hardware processing circuitry may be further to, during a first coverage enhancement sub-frame, transmit a first set of CSI-RS in first CSI-RS frequency resources that include at least a portion of the legacy SIB frequency resources.

Abstract: Technology for a UE configured to perform RSTD measurements for OTDOA positioning is disclosed. The UE can decode a MBSFN subframe configuration information for one or more cells in a plurality of cells. The UE can determine, for the one or more cells in the plurality of cells, an existence of a CRS for selected subframes of a plurality of subframes based on the MBSFN subframe configuration information. Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described related to interference averaging to generate feedback information. In embodiments, an evolved Node B (eNB) may transmit an feedback management message to a user equipment (UE) that defines one or more PRB sets. The PRB sets may include at least one PRB of the channel. The UE may average interference measurements within the PRB set and may generate channel state information (CSI) feedback for the PRB set based on the average interference measurement. The UE may transmit the CSI feedback to the eNB.
