Abstract: A carrier selection method and a base station are provided and are applied to the field of communications technologies. The carrier selection method includes: obtaining load status information corresponding to a control channel of a first base station on each carrier, where the load status information is used for indicating a load amount of the control channel; selecting, according to the load status information, from multiple carriers corresponding to the first base station, a carrier corresponding to a control channel with a relatively small load amount as an operational carrier for a second base station or a primary cell carrier for a user equipment served by the second base station. Carrier selection is implemented.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a notification method, an apparatus, and a communications system, and relate to the communications field, to ensure that a DU performs accurate L2 handling in a CU-DU architecture. The notification method includes: a CU sends a first message to the DU, where the first message includes an ID of a first DRB on which bearer type change occurs and first indication information indicating the DU to perform L2 handling; or the first message includes an ID of a first DRB and second indication information indicating that bearer type change occurs. The CU receives a second message sent by the DU, where the second message includes a cell group configuration of the L2 handling.

Abstract: A method includes: a first IAB node sets up a first RRC connection to a target IAB donor by performing RLF recovery. The first IAB node sends a first message to a second node by using an SRB 1 or an SRB 2 or the first IAB node sends a BH RLF indication to the second node. t The first IAB node sets up an RRC connection to a target IAB donor by performing RLF recovery and the second node is connected to a source IAB donor through the first IAB node. The second node may be triggered to set up an second RRC connection to the target IAB donor based on the first message or the BH RLF indication.

Abstract: A data transmission method and apparatus. The method is applied to a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor, and includes: receiving a first message from a core network element, where the first message carries an identifier of a first protocol data unit (PDU) session and a first data network name (DNN) associated with the identifier of the first PDU session, and the first DNN indicates a local data network corresponding to a first IAB node; the first IAB node includes a first IAB central unit-user plane (CU-UP), a first IAB-distributed unit (DU), and a first IAB-mobile terminal (MT); and the first IAB CU-UP is connected to the local data network; and notifying the first IAB CU-UP to establish the first PDU session.

Abstract: A computing service implementation method and an apparatus. The method includes: a first radio access network (RAN) device obtains computing capability information of a first communication device; the first RAN device sends a first request to the first communication device, where the first request is for requesting the first communication device to perform a computing service of the first RAN device; the first RAN device receives a first response from the first communication device, where the first response indicates the computing service that is of the first RAN device and that is admitted by the first communication device; and the first RAN device exchanges, with the first communication device, data of the computing service that is of the first RAN device and that is admitted by the first communication device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure provide a communication method, and an associated communication apparatus, medium, and chip. In a communication method, a target access network device receives first information, where the first information indicates a relationship between a first network slice in a first network and a second network slice in a second network, and the first network is different from the second network. The target access network device performs access control from a terminal device to the target access network device based on at least the first information. In this manner, in embodiments of this disclosure, the target access network device can perform access control on the terminal device during cross-network access, to reduce an access latency, reduce a service interruption problem caused by session rejection of the terminal device, and ensure service continuity of the terminal device.

Abstract: This application provides a relay communications method and apparatus. A first terminal device receives, from a second terminal device, indication information used to indicate the second terminal device to stop providing a relay service between the first terminal device and a radio access network device. The first terminal device sends notification information to the radio access network device through a third terminal device, to notify the radio access network device that the first terminal device accesses the radio access network device by using a relay service of the third terminal device. In this way, the radio access network device may communicate with the first terminal device through the third terminal device.
