Abstract:
Trains and points are patrolled by a telegram containing the block occupancy information as a section that only one train is permitted to occupy, the information for giving lock position instructions to a point, and the point position information. This telegram is updated in order to get the right of block occupancy that is not held by other trains, and to give lock position instruction to the point. The train checks the block which this train is allowed to occupy, confirms that the point in this block has been set to the lock position specified by this train. Reading the aforementioned telegram, the point checks the lock position instruction given to itself and controls its lock position. A signaling system characterized by reduced designing and manufacturing costs is provided.
Abstract:
A remote-control toy has a controller for transmitting a code signal through infrared rays according to operation contents by a user, and a movable body for being controlled based on the code signal. This remote-control toy includes: an indicator that is provided within the boundary of movement of the movable body, and includes at least one detectable element; a detecting device that is provided to the movable body, and detects the detectable element; a transmitting device for transmitting a detection signal through a radio wave in response to the detection of the element; and a processing unit for determining the state of the movable body based on the detection signal, and for performing a predetermined process based on the determined state.
Abstract:
A failure diagnosis apparatus for diagnosing a failure of an evaporative fuel processing system. The system includes a fuel tank, a canister having adsorbent for adsorbing evaporative fuel generated in the fuel tank, an air passage connected to the canister for communicating the canister with the atmosphere, a first passage for connecting the canister and the fuel tank, a second passage for connecting the canister and an intake system of an internal combustion engine, and a purge control valve provided in the second passage. A pressure in the evaporative fuel processing system is detected. An opening of the purge control valve is controlled by changing a duty ratio of a drive signal which drives the purge control valve. First and second filterings of the detected pressure are performed. A second passing frequency band of the second filtering is narrower than a first passing frequency band of the first filtering. A flow rate abnormality of a purge gas flowing in the second passage is determined based on the filtered pressures.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus determines an embedding method for embedding sub information into a main image to be printed on a recording layer based on the degree of optical shielding of a protection layer or a security layer formed on the surface of the recording layer, on which an image is to be printed, with respect to the surface of the recording layer in a recording medium, and generates a composite image obtained by embedding the sub information into the main image by the determined embedding method as the image to be printed on the recording layer of the recording medium.
Abstract:
After a first copy request is received and copy operation from a copy source area to a copy destination area is activated, information indicating an update section is recorded when a data update of at least one of either the copy source area or the copy destination area is generated. When a second copy request is received, data in the copy source area corresponding to the update section is copied to the copy destination area, in accordance with the recorded information.
Abstract:
A remote-control toy is provided that includes: a controller that transmits a control signal containing an operating instruction based on an operation instruction by a user; a driving device that is driven and controlled based on the control signal; and an extension unit that is capable of receiving the control signal. The extension unit includes: a unit main body and a signal processing device that can be detachably connected to the unit main body. In the unit main body, the received control signal is output to the signal processing device, and processing according to an instruction signal output from the signal processing device is performed. In the signal processing device, the contents of the operating instruction contained in the control signal that is output from the unit main body are discriminated, and an instruction signal based on the operation corresponding to the contents is output to the unit main body.
Abstract:
A tool for an optical connector including a clamping portion for clamping an optical fiber between clamping elements, the tool including: first and second insertion members, respectively including separately extractable first and second distal ends, wherein the first and second distal ends maintain the clamping elements in an open state by being wedged therebetween from outside the clamping portion, so that the optical fiber is movable between the clamping elements; first and second insertion member operating portions, respectively separately connected to proximal ends of the first and second insertion members, that individually extract the first and second distal ends of the first and second insertion members from between the clamping elements; and a stopper portion against which the optical connector is pressed when the first and second insertion members are extracted from between the clamping elements.
Abstract:
A failure diagnosis apparatus for diagnosing a failure of an evaporative fuel processing system. A pressure in the evaporative fuel processing system is detected, and a purge control valve and a vent shut valve are closed when stoppage of the engine is detected. A determination is made as to whether there is a leak in the evaporative fuel processing system based on the detected pressure during a predetermined determination period after closing of the purge control and vent shut valves.
Abstract:
A lens holder for holding a plurality of lenses is provided. The lens holder is assembled from a plurality of subunits divided on a plane that is parallel to an optical axis. A subunit includes a substantially cylindrical outer shell and front side rear side portions that extend from an inner surface of the outer shell toward the optical axis to support at least one lens from in front and behind respectively. When the at least one lens is attached between the portions, one of the portions is harder to deform than the other of portions.
Abstract:
A lens holder holds a plurality of lenses aligned in a direction of an optical axis. This lens holder is at least partially assembled from subunits divided on a plane that includes the optical axis. In a connecting shell that connects a first shell and a second shell and holds an optical element for bending an optical path, an optical path of only one subunit is effectively used. The connecting shell includes a first connecting structure for connecting to the first shell and second connecting structures for connecting to the second shell, the second connecting structures being disposed at two symmetrical positions around the first optical axis.
