    Abstract: A coverage adjustment method, apparatus, and system are provided. The method includes: A first network device obtains measurement information for measuring a cell by a terminal device, where the measurement information includes channel state information CSI, radio resource management RRM information, and location information of the terminal device; and the first network device determines a beam coverage adjustment parameter of the first network device based on the measurement information. Accuracy of network coverage adjustment is improved.

    Abstract: This application provides a method for transmitting data and a terminal device. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, first control information transmitted by a network device, where the first control information includes identity information of at least one uplink beam, and the first control information is used to indicate whether the at least one uplink beam is valid; and if the first control information indicates that the at least one uplink beam is valid, determining, by the terminal device, that the at least one uplink beam is valid in preset duration; or if the first control information indicates that the at least one uplink beam is invalid, skipping, by the terminal device, transmitting data in the at least one uplink beam.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a hybrid automatic repeat request method and a terminal device. The method includes: obtaining a first uplink grant (UL grant) sent by a base station, where the first uplink grant is carried in a media access control MAC message; transmitting uplink data based on the first uplink grant, and starting a first timer; starting a second timer after the first timer expires; and listening to a physical downlink control channel PDCCH based on the second timer. According to the hybrid automatic repeat request method and the terminal device in the embodiments of the present invention, electricity can be saved, and a retransmission delay can be reduced.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method used for random access, including: receiving, by a terminal, random access preamble information sent by a base station; and before sending random access to the base station based on the random access preamble information, receiving, by the terminal, a random access response sent by the base station, where the random access response includes an uplink asynchronous hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier, and the uplink asynchronous HARQ process identifier is used by the terminal to send uplink data to the base station. Compared with the prior art, the communication method provided in the embodiments of the present invention can ensure to some extent that uplink data is transmitted timely and can effectively improve uplink data transmission reliability.

    Abstract: A transmission resource obtaining method and user equipment are provided. The transmission resource obtaining method includes: receiving first configuration information sent by an base station, and obtaining request resources based on the first configuration information, where the request resources include a scheduling request (SR) resource and a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource; determining a target request resource from the request resources based on time information of user equipment, where the target request resource includes the SR resource and/or the PRACH resource; and sending an uplink resource request to the base station by using the target request resource. The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention help improve uplink transmission resource obtaining efficiency.

    Abstract: This application provides an uplink transmission method and a communication apparatus. When a terminal device does not obtain a TA value in a two-step random access process, the terminal device can transmit, based on a preset TA value or a maintained TA value, uplink data on an uplink transmission resource assigned in the second step of random access, or perform, based on a preset TA value or a maintained TA value, a feedback for downlink data transmitted on a downlink transmission resource assigned in the second step of random access. In this way, uplink synchronization can be implemented when no TA value is assigned in a random access process.
