摘要:
A buffer cell and an inverter cell are embedded in advance in an internal open space of each of mega-cells and IO cells composing a semiconductor integrated circuit. Thereafter, in cases where it is expected that a cross-talk noise is generated in a signal transmitting through a particular wire of the semiconductor integrated circuit, one mega-cell or one IO cell, which is placed in a position nearest to a generation position of the cross-talk noise, is selected from the mega-cells and the IO cells, and the buffer cell or the inverter cell embedded in the selected mega-cell or the selected IO cell is inserted into the particular wire. Therefore, because the capacitance between the particular wire and each wire adjacent to the particular wire is reduced, the cross-talk noise can be reduced.

A sealed storage battery has a sealing assembly including a hollow rivet mounted to a cover plate via a gasket and a lead piece connecting a positive collector to the hollow rivet. Mounting the hollow rivet to the cover plate is achieved by pressurizing a distal end portion of a hollow shaft of the hollow rivet with a punch having a conical tip end portion so as to caulk the distal end portion of the hollow rivet by enlarging the distal end portion diametrically outward. Tightness between the opposing surfaces of the members among the cover plate, hollow rivet, gasket and lead piece can be enhanced, providing excellent liquid leakage resistance in the battery. A valve body of a safety valve is housed in a positive terminal welded to the head of the hollow rivet.

A communication apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored in the memory. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a first network including the communication apparatus and a first device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a second network including the communication apparatus and a second device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to determine a target IP address. Determining the target IP address includes identifying a particular IP address, which is an IP address of the communication apparatus used in the second type network. Determining the target IP address includes generating the target IP address to be within a particular range using the particular IP address. The particular range is a range of IP addresses that are not available in the second type network. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to assign the target IP address to the first device.

A multi-function device may acquire specific use information corresponding to a specific user who uses the multi-function device, request a service providing server to provide a specific service in a case where the specific service among plural types of services is selected by the specific user, and acquire screen information from a screen providing server so as to display a screen according to the screen information. The multi-function device may display a first screen for receiving the specific service from the service providing server in a case where the specific use information indicates that the specific user is allowed to use a specific function related to the specific service, and display a second screen indicating that it is not capable of receiving the specific service in a case where the specific use information indicates that the specific user is not allowed to use the specific function.

A controlling device for a multi-function device may acquire specific function information for a specific service providing server from a first storage unit, and acquire specific use information for a specific user from a second storage unit. The controlling device may determine, by using the specific function information and the specific use information, whether or not a usable function exists. The controlling device may execute a process for the multi-function device to receive a service related to the usable function from the specific service providing server in a case where it is determined that the usable function exists, and execute a process for prohibiting the multi-function device to receive a service from the specific service providing server in a second case where h is determined that the usable function does not exist.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and an illumination device. The illumination device has a light guide plate and at least one spot light source on at least one side surface of the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a large number of upper-surface arcuate cross-sectional grooves in a direction orthogonal to the one side surface on a surface thereof which faces the liquid crystal panel, and a large number of light-incident-surface arcuate cross-sectional grooves are formed in a thickness direction of the light guide plate on at least a portion of the one side surface which faces a position at which the spot light source is arranged. A relationship is provided between a contact angle Oa of the upper-surface arcuate cross-sectional grooves and a contact angle Ea of the light-incident-surface arcuate cross-sectional grooves.

The present invention found the interaction of CREBL1 and HNF-4α with HtrA2 and revealed for the first time that CREBL1, ATF6, and HNF-4α are degraded by active HtrA2. In addition, the present invention provides a means for inhibiting the degradation of at least one of CREBL1, ATF6, and HNF-4α, comprising inhibiting the function of HtrA2; a means for preventing and/or treating diabetes, comprising inhibiting the degradation by HtrA2 of at least one of CREBL1, ATF6, and HNF-4α; a means for preventing cell death (for example, pancreatic β cell death), comprising inhibiting the degradation by HtrA2 of CREBL1 and/or ATF6; a means for preventing and/or treating type 2 diabetes, comprising inhibiting the degradation by HtrA2 of HNF-4α; and a reagent kit.

A liquid crystal display device formed as a both-side liquid crystal display device can suppress the generation of brightness irregularities generated on a main liquid crystal display panel thereof and can display an image with a uniform brightness over the whole screen to an extent that a uniform brightness is obtained in practical use. On a bottom surface of a first recessed portion formed in a casing, an optical sheet is arranged such that the optical sheet bridges over an opening, and a proper amount of color pigment is added to the casing on which the optical sheet is arranged in a contact state, thus making the reflectance wavelength characteristic of the surface substantially equal to the reflectance wavelength characteristic of a portion of the sub liquid crystal display panel.
