摘要: Mechanisms support machine-to-machine service layer sessions that can span multiple service layer hops where a machine-to-machine service layer hop is a direct machine-to-machine service layer communication session between two machine-to-machine service layer instances or between a machine-to-machine service layer instance and a machine-to-machine application. Mechanisms are also disclosed that illustrate machine-to-machine session establishment procedures for oneM2M Session Management Service supporting multiple resources.

摘要: The concept of a service layer message template is introduced, which may be a request template or a response template. Message templates may be created and stored at the service layer. Each message template may contain a set of request or response parameters and their values. Once in place, an application can send a request to the service layer that does not include the request parameters contained in the message template (i.e. request template); instead, a message template identifier may be sent. Since request parameters are included in the message template and stored at the service layer, communication overhead between the service layer and the application (or another service layer) may be reduced.

摘要: Service layer and application triggering may be used in a machine-to-machine environment. In an embodiment, an existing service layer procedure, such as registration, may allow a device or gateway service layer or application to indicate to a machine-to-machine server what port is listened to for triggers. In another embodiment, triggering may be used to provide bootstrapping instructions, including temporary bootstrapping identifiers, in trigger requests. In another embodiment, triggering may be used to assist with event notification. Service layer or application instructions may be embedded inside of trigger payloads. A trigger payload format is defined.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems allow for bootstrapping of a machine-to-machine device. In an embodiment, a bootstrap erase architecture allows the machine-to-machine server to manage bootstrap erase policies, detect access network specific events, initiate a bootstrap erase based on these policies and events, and allow for machine-to-machine server handover. In another embodiment, a device or gateway service capability layer may request its network service capability layer fetch data that the device or gateway, previously stored on a different network service capability layer. In another embodiment, when bootstrap erase is performed because the network service capability layer can no longer provide service to the device or gateway, the network service capability layer may recommend other NSCLs to the device or gateway. In another embodiment, a bootstrap erase procedure may be modified so that temporary identifiers may be assigned for a next bootstrapping event.

摘要: IoT service layer capabilities may be employed to automate and simplify the service enrollment process for IoT service subscribers/enrollees. These capabilities enable virtualization of a service subscriber and the physical IoT devices, applications, data and authorized users of the subscriber into a software profile that is representative of the subscriber. Once virtualized, a service subscriber may then delegate the complexities and burden of service enrollment to an automated IoT service enrollment software function.

For example, content might only be protected while the content is in transit between entities that trust each other. Here, the integrity and the confidentiality of content in an M2M network are protected. Such content may be “at rest,” such that the content is stored at a hosting node. Only authorized entities may store and retrieve the data that is stored at the hosting node, and the data may be protected from a confidentiality perspective and an integrity perspective.

摘要: Mechanisms for efficient inter-system or inter-RAT handover for the case when large numbers of devices need to perform a handover within a short time interval or even simultaneously are described. These mechanisms can include an aggregated Handover Procedure. An Aggregated Handover procedure can be enabled by a UE and can be indicated to the network entities by “Aggregated Handover Indication”. The detection of target (H)eNB or WLAN can be triggered by user, GPS location, boarding time, or a travel or eTicket application etc. The UEs requesting Aggregated Handover within a time interval, i.e. Handover Window, can be processed with aggregated messages by the core network entities.

摘要: IoT twinning groups can be dynamically created. These twinning groups can be activated based on selected triggers. As part of twinning operation, service delivery can be re-directing away from the primary device to the IoT twinning group. Messages originating from members of the IoT twinning group can be processed and forwarded externally as if they came from the primary device. Further, the twinning service can be de-activated based on selected triggers.
