Abstract:
A method and apparatus for offering a service to at least one client in a communication network for a specific client context, by means of a service provisioning unit. A history of client activities involving service usage in associated client contexts, is recorded in an activity database. Service templates are composed for associated client contexts based on the recorded history of client activities. When a context detector detects that the specific client context prevails, a service configurator selects a service template for the detected client context and configures a customised service from the selected service template. The customised service can then be offered to the at least one client.
Abstract:
A recommendation apparatus for determining, for a user, a set of one or more recommended paths through an information space in response to receiving from the user a path request message. Advantageously, in some embodiments, the path recommender apparatus determines a recommended path by analyzing a set of paths, where each path in the set was traversed by a person who is in a “social graph” belonging to the user (e.g., each path in the set was traversed by one of the user's Facebook friends). In this way, paths can be recommended to the user based on paths that are popular with the user's friends.
Abstract:
A method and system allow applying policies to service requests for information or a session, which are created by communications devices and are intended to be sent to service providers over a network. The policies govern the extent to which details about the communications devices sending the requests are released or revealed to that service provider. After amount of capabilities corresponding to the extent allowed by the polity is determined and provided in the service request, the service request is sent over the network to the service provider. Policy based disclosure of communications device capabilities information may be applied in local network embodiments, such as a home or small office network including local sever and residential gateway functions.
Abstract:
There is provided a mediation server. The mediation server comprises, among other things, a device identity receiving unit configured to receive, from a communication device, a device identity which enables the communication device to connect to a network operated by a network operator associated with the mediation server, a login request sending unit configured to send, to the communication device, a login request for requesting login credentials for one of at least one user identity associated with the device identity, and a login credentials receiving unit configured to receive the login credentials from the communication device. The mediation server also comprises a subscription information relaying unit configured to obtain subscription information for use by the communication device from a selected network, and forward the obtained subscription information to the communication device.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus of supporting selection of operator connection offers for a Machine to Machine equipment (10) comprised in a communication network. A network node (14) receives (42) a operator connection request from the Machine to Machine equipment (10) and obtains (44) operator connection offers for the Machine to Machine equipment (10) wherein each offer originates from a separate operator. The network node (14) selects (46) one or more of the obtained offers and sends (48) the selected offers to a decision entity associated with the Machine to Machine equipment (10), for selecting one of the selected offers.
Abstract:
An alternative access point for M2ME's is provided by introducing an extended M2ME, a M2ME/Femto, which is able to operate as a Femto cell in addition to operating as an M2ME is provided. The M2ME/Femto is configured to recognize a connectivity disruption in a conventional wireless connection to a home operator and to respond to such a disruption by providing for an alternative, fixed connection between the M2ME/Femto and the home operator. A M2ME configured to access the M2ME/Femto when required due to a connectivity disruption and a node of a home operator configured to set up an alternative fixed connection between the M2ME/Femto and the node when required due to a connectivity disruption at the wireless connection is also provided.
Abstract:
An image matching apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a storage unit, an obtaining unit, a specification unit, and an image matching unit. The storage unit is configured to store image data of one or more devices that are connected to a local network. The obtaining unit is configured to obtain image data of device image obtained by capturing a device. The specification unit is configured to specify one or more local networks to be used for image matching. The image matching unit is configured to perform image matching of the obtained image data against the stored image data of one or more devices that are connected to the specified local network.
Abstract:
A method and arrangment for enrolling a joining peer (202) to a P2P (peer-to-peer) to the P2P network receives (2:2) a connect request sent from the joining peer, and obtains (2:4-2:7) an enrollment recommendation for the joining peer at least based on a stored current topology (208) of the P2P network. The enrollment a server then sends (2:9) attach information to the joining peer according to the enrollment recommendation. The attach information indicates where the joining peer shall connect to the P2P network. The enrollment server also updates (2:13) and stored toplogy of the P2P network when the joining peer has connected to the P2P network.
Abstract:
In the first embodiment, the mobile phone 20 obtains the PCID from the CCE 10, and sends the PCID and the IMSI of the USIM of the mobile phone 20 to the CAPS 50. The MCC+MNC part of the IMSI is later used as the operator identification information by the mediation server 30, which is operated by the RO, in order to identify the SHO for the CCE 10. The MSIN part of the IMSI is later used as the user identification information by the account managing server 40, which is operated by the SHO, in order to identify the user of the mobile phone 20. The mediation server 30 forwards the account request from the CCE 10 to the account managing server 40 of the SHO identified by the operator identification information. The account managing server 40 generates the MCIM that is associated with the user identified by the user identification information.
Abstract:
An application server (100) includes: receiving means (101) for receiving a request for a media object from a user equipment; verification means (102) for verifying the authenticity of the received request; first generation means (103) for generating a session key that is associated with an existing session if the authenticity of the request is successfully verified; first sending means (104) for sending the session key to a media server so that said media server encrypts the requested media object with the session key and sends the encrypted media object toward the user equipment; second generation means (105) for generating a one-time player in which the session key is embedded; and second sending means (106) for sending the one-time player to the user equipment, which enables said user equipment to decrypt and decode the encrypted media object that is sent from the media server.
