Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for location tracking and filtering or hiding electronic communications. In one implementation, a method is provided for location tracking for electronic communications. The method includes receiving a location ID for a location from a user who desires to follow the location within a social networking environment, and associating the location ID with the user. The method also includes providing instructions to display a representation of the location in a list of the user's contacts.
Abstract:
Systems, products, and methods are disclosed for identifying a roaming indicator to be displayed on a mobile device that is in a given roaming situation and for determining a set of services that are available to the device. One variation of the method includes encoding within an ERI (enhanced roaming indicator) property two values that are respectively defined in a first portion of the ERI property and a second portion of the ERI property. The first portion of the ERI describes a visual roaming indicator that is to be presented on a mobile device. The second portion of the ERI describes a set of services that are available to the mobile device. A decoding method includes identifying an ERI value that is applicable given the roaming status, referencing a binary version of the ERI value, and inspecting a designated portion of the ERI value that indicates which services of the set of services are available.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method that includes generating, in response to a non-access stratum (NAS) message transmitted between a mobility management entity and a visiting location register, a response message including information indicating a message type, an identifier of a mobile unit associated with the NAS message, and a cause associated with generating the response message. The method also includes transmitting the response message.
Abstract:
A cargo lid assembly for a vehicle is provided and includes a cargo lid, at least one lid-engaging member and at least one hinge member that is integral with a respective one of the at least one lid-engaging member and is configured for hinged connection to a body structure of a vehicle. The cargo lid includes an inner member and an outer member that cooperate to define a cavity. The assembly further includes at least one stiffener positioned within the cavity between the inner and outer members of the cargo lid. At least one lid-engaging member is secured to at least one stiffener.
Abstract:
A programmable system for testing relays and controlling systems is provided. In one embodiment the present disclosure provides a programmable device capable of, for example, testing relays. The device includes a signal generator for generating signals to test relays. The device includes a memory location, and a first program stored in the memory location. The first program supports relay testing. The device includes a versioned program to support relay testing, and a processor in communication with the signal generator and the memory location. The device also includes a routine that is operable by the processor to install a versioned program in the memory location replacing the first program.
Abstract:
In a cellular wireless system, a handset identifies and displays the home network provider for an incoming call. If that home network provider is different from the home network provider for the called handset, the user of that handset is notified and may decide not to accept an incoming call that may incur an airtime charge.
Abstract:
A security method comprises inputting into a database on a computer system (2) data as to a forecast of transfer relative to the database, and inputting into the database data as to actual transfers relative to the database, the computer system taking appropriate action in the event that the transfers are not in accordance with the forecast. Apparatus for performing the security method comprises a computer system (2) comprising a database and being arranged to receive data as to the forecast of transfer relative to the database and as to the actual transfers relative to the database and to take the appropriate action in the event that the actual transfers are not in accordance with the forecast. The security method also comprises up-dating specific fields of transfer, personal security alerts, pre-authorisations of transfers and personal identification.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments of a fastening system include an object with a securement structure and a mounting structure fastened with respect to the securement structure. The fastening system further includes a bearing member with a first portion for bearing against the bearing surface of the securement structure and a second portion for bearing against the bearing surface of the mounting structure. The bearing member may be biased such that the bearing surfaces of the securement and mounting structures both simultaneously receive compressive force from the respective first and second portions of the bearing member.
Abstract:
A system for handling, organizing and storing floor mats includes a loading station and control center. The loading station can include a radio frequency identification device (RFID). The elevator RFID may communicate with the control center. The loading station may be connected to an elevator. The elevator may lift the mat to a primary collector conveyor. The control center may cause the mat to be moved to an organizer carousel wherein mats are stored, based on a set organization method. The control center may initiate the mats to be removed from the organizer carousel and moved to the off-going transfer conveyor, where the mats may then be rolled. The organizing and storing method of the system alleviates inefficiency of conventional handling, organizing and storing techniques.
Abstract:
A test device for testing relays is provided. The test device includes a chassis and a plurality of generator components removably coupled to the chassis. Each of the plurality of generator components have a signal generator, a CPU to promote test signal generation by the signal generator, and an amplifier to amplify signals generated by the signal generator. The test device also includes a controller coupled to communicate with the plurality of generator components.
