摘要: A winding of a motor is formed by coiling a wire around a slotless stator core with combination of troidal coiling and array coiling. The toroidal coiling is carried out in a manner such that the wire is coiled without any intersecting turns in one direction for the formation of the winding as it is coiled rotating spirally. By this coiling method, the accuracy of the position of the winding in the direction tangent to the surface of the stator core can be improved. The array coiling is carried out in a manner such that the winding is formed in layers that are stacked on one another. By this coiling method, the accuracy of the position of the winding in the direction normal to the surface of the stator core can be improved. Thus, the overall thickness of the winding can be made uniform.

摘要: A continuous data server includes a storage unit connected to a buffer memory which is in turn connected to a plurality of communication control units which transfer data of the buffer memory to a network. The right to use a bus interconnecting the buffer memory and communication control units is deterministically assigned by a micro-scheduler in accordance with a program stored in a micro-schedule table. The micro-scheduler allocates the right to use the bus in accordance with a predetermined schedule, rather than by arbitration.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium comprises a non-magnetic substrate, a lower coating layer, which is overlaid upon the non-magnetic substrate and primarily contains a binder and inorganic particles dispersed in the binder, and a magnetic layer, which is overlaid upon the lower coating layer and is constituted of at least a single layer. The magnetic layer contains at least a binder and ferromagnetic metal particles dispersed in the binder. The thickness of the magnetic layer falls within the range of 0.05 .mu.m to 0.5 .mu.m. The surface roughness of a top magnetic layer is at most 3 nm. The lower coating layer contains a fatty acid. An increase in the number of small protrusions, which have a height of at least 30 nm, does not occur substantially on the surface of the magnetic layer after the magnetic recording medium has been stored for seven days under environmental conditions of a temperature of 60.degree. C. and a relative humidity of 90%.

摘要: A plasma processing apparatus includes a vacuum container accommodating a to-be-processed substrate. A vacuum discharge device discharges gas from the container, and a gas feed device feeds a gas in the container. A pair of electrodes includes one which has a concave surface for holding the substrate thereon. A high frequency power supply device supplies a high frequency power to the electrodes, a gas feed device for filling between the substrate and the electrodes with an inert gas to cool the substrate, and a holding device for pressing a side end face of the substrate in a direction along a surface of the substrate to shape the substrate into a concave while holding the substrate on the concave surface of the electrode.

摘要: A projecting and exposing device includes a light source and a device for projecting light emitted by the light source to a mask. 摘要: A substrate transfer apparatus includes two transfer arms pivotably arranged on a support table on opposite sides from each other with respect to a center of the support table. Each of the transfer arms includes: a first set of parallel links, a second set of parallel links, and a substrate holding member. The first set of the links is pivotably connected to the second set of the links at one ends thereof. The other ends of the first set of the links are pivotably connected to the support table. The substrate holding member is provided on the other end of the second set of the links. The each of the substrate holding members moves outward from the support table by stretching of the transfer arms and returns to the support table by bending of the transfer arms, and the transfer arms are bent in an opposite direction to each other with respect to the support table.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium composed of a non-magnetic support having thereon at least one magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic fine powder dispersed in a binder, wherein (a) the magnetic layer further contains at least one of (i) carbon black having a sodium content of at most 100 ppm, (ii) carbon black having a chlorine content of less than 400 ppm, and (iii) an abrasive having a Mohn' hardness of at least 8 and a mean particle size of 0.05 to 0.5 .mu.m and a sodium content of at most 100 ppm; (b) the ferromagnetic fine powder is a magnetic metal powder having a sodium content of at most 200 ppm; and/or (c) the magnetic recording medium further has a back layer provided on the side of the non-magnetic support opposite to the magnetic layer, containing carbon black having a chlorine content of at most 300 ppm dispersed in a binder. The magnetic recording medium has superior storage stability, with remarkably limited dropout increase, head clogging, C S/N decrease and RF output decrease.
