    摘要: A method monitors machine activity of multiple virtual computing devices operating through at least one physical computing device by running a monitoring agent. The monitoring agent monitors performance of the multiple virtual computing devices. The method measures simple operating characteristics of only a base level virtual computing device. The method monitors complex operating characteristics using the monitoring agent by: measuring the complex operating characteristics for each of the multiple virtual computing devices (using each of the multiple virtual computing devices); recording the complex operating characteristics of each of the multiple virtual computing devices on a corresponding memory page of each of the multiple virtual computing devices; and sharing each the corresponding memory page with the base level virtual computing device through an interdomain communications channels to transfer the complex operating characteristics to the monitoring agent. The method identifies simple events and complex events for each of the multiple virtual computing devices by evaluating the simple operating characteristics and the complex operating characteristics and outputs the simple events and the complex events for each of the multiple virtual computing devices.

    摘要: Free form reports may be generated within a data array system such as a spreadsheet computer application. A user may select dimension members of a data source, such as an online analytical processing (OLAP) data cube. The user may position the dimension members as headers on the data array where multiple dimensions may be represented in one or both axes. Member formulas are generated that are representative of the headers and include identifiers that point to the dimension member location of the data source. Value formulas are generated within the report grid defined by the location of the headers where the value formulas are representative of the actual data values of the report and include identifiers that point to the data value locations of the dimension member locations within the data source.

    摘要: A method and system for decreasing power consumption in memory arrays having usage-driven power management provides decreased power consumption in the memory array of a processing system. Per-page usage information is gathered on memory by a memory controller and periodically evaluated by software. The software distinguishes between more frequently accessed pages and less frequently accessed pages by analyzing the gathered usage information and periodically migrates physical memory pages in order to group less frequently accessed pages and more frequently access pages in separately power-managed memory ranks. When used in conjunction with a usage-driven power management mechanism, the ranks containing the less frequently accessed pages can enter deeper power-saving states and/or any power-saving state for longer periods. Operation may be further enhanced by using packed allocation in the memory ranks containing the less-frequently accessed pages and scattered allocation in the memory ranks having more frequently accessed pages.

    摘要: A handle support mechanism is designed for attachment to a door lock, preferably the exterior of a mortise lock, that has two handles driven back to an initial position with a common return spring after either handle is used. The support mechanism prevents the unused handle from drooping or rotating when the common return spring is compressed as the opposite handle is turned. The support mechanism includes first and second friction discs trapped between the exterior of the mortise lock and the legs of a U-shaped spring bracket. The spring bracket applies an inward spring pressure to prevent a friction disc and its corresponding handle from turning when the other handle is in use. The handle support mechanism improves visual appearance and is particularly suitable for retrofit installations, lever handle designs and mortise locks with independent switch sensors on the two handles that notify a monitoring system as to which handle was turned to open a monitored door.
