Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems support mobile broadband (MBB) communications and low latency communications. To accommodate low latency communications, a base station may identify resources allocated for MBB communications, and the base station may reassign (or puncture) these resources for low latency communications. The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned (or punctured) resources to one or more user equipment (UEs). The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned resources in a transmission time interval (TTI) that is subsequent to a TTI reassigned (or punctured) for low latency communications (e.g., a post indication). The base station may transmit the post indication in a retransmission grant of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or in downlink control information (DCI) of a PDCCH.

Abstract: Some wireless communication systems may attempt to balance frequent transmission opportunities (e.g., where the frequency of the opportunities may refer to gaps in the time domain, frequency domain, etc.) with a desire for communication reliability and/or interference diversity. In accordance with the described techniques, some such systems may apportion communicating devices into groups, where resources are strategically assigned to each group so as to reduce latency without significantly compromising communication reliability or interference diversity (e.g., by allowing a membership of the groups to cycle through all possible combinations before repeating). Such techniques may support delay-sensitive communications, channel sounding procedures, or other similar types of transmissions. Resources may be allocated based on a scheduling parameter transmitted to a user equipment (UE), which may implicitly or explicitly indicate a plurality of resource offsets to the UE.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that adapts a numerology including a subcarrier spacing and/or cyclic prefix for a user equipment (UE) traveling at a high speed. A base station may transmit via a plurality of remote radio heads (RRH) to a user equipment (UE) is moving along a high speed track. The base station may transmit, in a first time period, using a first numerology including a first subcarrier spacing and a first cyclic prefix ratio, a first transmission for the UE. The base station may transmit, in a subsequent time period, using a second numerology including a second subcarrier spacing and a second cyclic prefix ratio, a second transmission for the UE. At least one of the second subcarrier spacing is different than the first subcarrier spacing or the second cyclic prefix ratio is different than the first cyclic prefix ratio.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment may be configured to monitor a first set of decoding candidates within a first search space for receiving a physical downlink control channel message. A base station may identify downlink data for the user equipment and may transmit a signal to the user equipment. The user equipment may receive the signal within the first search space. In some cases, the signal may include a command for activating a second search space. The user equipment may monitor a second set of decoding candidates within the second search space based on receiving the signal. The user equipment communicate, with the base station, based on monitoring the first set of decoding candidates within the first search space and the second set of decoding candidates within the second search space.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described which may enable a user equipment (UE) and a base station to use outer-loop feedback support to reach a desired error rate for low latency communications. For example, a base station may transmit a proxy acknowledgement feedback configuration to a UE for communications associated with a low target error rate. In some cases, after receiving the communications from the base station, the UE may receive secondary communications from the base station. The UE may then decode the first and/or second communications according to the proxy acknowledgement feedback configuration and/or a normal acknowledgement feedback configuration and may determine a proxy acknowledgement feedback based on the decoding. Further, the UE may transmit the proxy and/or normal acknowledgement feedback to the base station, which may update outer-loop power settings for the low latency communications based on the acknowledgement feedback.
