Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may measure signal characteristics of a beam reference signal and determine, based on the measured signal characteristics, a beam repetition and diversity (R/D) mode to be used in communications between the UE and a base station. In some examples, UE feedback to the base station may include an indication of the determined beam R/D mode, as well as channel quality information associated with one or more beams to which the determined beam R/D mode is to be applied and/or operating parameters (e.g., a mixed beam repetition and diversity pattern) associated with the beam R/D mode.

Abstract: A base station may access a channel following a successful channel access procedure. The base station may transmit an indication of a resource allocation to a user equipment (UE). The resource allocation may include an allocation of resources for subsequent communications between the base station and the UE, for example, defining a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) during which the UE may transmit repetitions of uplink control information. The UE may also perform a channel access procedure to access the channel. The UE may transmit repetitions of the uplink control information using the set of TTIs according to the resource configuration. In some cases, the UE may stop transmitting uplink control information repetitions after a maximum number repetitions also according to the resource configuration. The base station may then receive and combine the uplink control information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for managing reuse of a wireless medium are provided. One method of managing reuse of a wireless medium includes determining, at an access point, whether to allow reuse of the wireless medium by one or more stations in a basic service set (BSS). The method further includes transmitting, upon determining to allow reuse, an indication that reuse of the wireless medium can be permitted for stations meeting a criteria. The method further includes determining one or more reuse parameters. The method further includes transmitting the one or more reuse parameters.

Abstract: A method for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes selecting an element identification (ID) from a plurality of element IDs. Each of the plurality of element IDs identifies an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter set element comprising at least one channel access parameter for at least one subset of wireless devices in a group of wireless devices. The selected element ID is identifiable by wireless devices of the group of wireless devices and not identifiable by other wireless devices. The method further includes generating the EDCA parameter set element for setting the at least one channel access parameter for each wireless device in the at least one subset. The EDCA parameter set element includes the selected element ID. The method further includes transmitting the EDCA parameter set element to at least one wireless device in the at least one subset of wireless devices.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor, via a receive beam, a first transmission time interval (TTI) of a plurality of different TTIs for a control resource set. The UE may decode the control resource set to obtain a first grant and a second grant. Upon decoding the control resource set, the UE may determine that the first grant and the second grant are associated with different parameters. In some cases, the parameters may be spatial quasi-colocation (QCL) assumptions mapped to the control resource set. The UE may decode, resources of a shared data channel indicated in at least one of the first grant and the second grant. In some cases, the UE may decode the resources during at least one of the first TTI and a second TTI of the plurality different TTIs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for transmissions of multiple instances of control information, such as remaining minimum system information (RMSI) that may be used for system access by a user equipment (UE). The multiple instances of the control information may be transmitted in a number of monitoring occasions that may be monitored by a UE, and within the monitoring occasions, the control information may be transmitted using different time locations, frequency locations, or combinations thereof. The locations may be identified based at least in part on one or more parameters associated with at least a first monitoring occasion. The one or more parameters may include an identification parameter associated with the base station or monitoring occasion, an index value associated with the monitoring occasion, a frequency parameter associated with the monitoring occasion, a control information multiplexing pattern, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: An acknowledgment (ACK) frame has two parts: a group ACK part and a scheduling information part. In the group ACK part, an ACK/NACK indicator is included for a previous uplink (UL) transmission per station (STA). In the scheduling information part, information included for the following UL transmission per selected STA may comprise, for example, one or more of: a number of selected STAs, a media access control (MAC) address of each selected STA, a data transmission duration per selected STA, a transmission rate per selected STA, a request transmission duration, a pilot transmission order, or a STA transmission order.

One aspect of this disclosure provides a method of wireless communication. The method includes receiving, at a first device, a first frame from a second device indicating one or more frequency bandwidths available for random access by the first device. The method further includes transmitting, at the first device, a second frame to the second device in response to the first frame, the second frame comprising an indication of an identifier of the first device and indicating a selection of at least one frequency bandwidth of the one or more frequency bandwidths, the second frame not including a medium access control (MAC) payload data portion.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for configuring the utilization of request-to-send/clear-to-send (RTS/CTS) protocol procedures based on varying conditions at the STA. For example, an AP may identify one or more conditions, when satisfied, may trigger the STA to either enable or disable uplink (UL) transmissions associated with a RTS/CTS protocol procedure. In some aspects, an AP may determine a transmit opportunity (TXOP) threshold for an STA and may determine whether to broadcast a message having the TXOP threshold to multiple STAs including the STA or unicast the message to the STA. An STA may receive a message from an AP having a TXOP threshold and may replace, based on an indication in the received message, a current TXOP threshold in the STA with the TXOP threshold in the received message. The STA may transmit an UL RTS frame in response to a determination that a planned TXOP duration satisfies the TXOP threshold.
