Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network entity may transmit, to a second network entity, a first random access communication including a random access preamble. The first network entity may receive, from the second network entity, a second random access communication including an identifier indicative of the random access preamble, and a first resource allocation. The first network entity may receive, from the second network entity, a third random access communication including the identifier, and indicating a second resource allocation. The first network entity may transmit, to the second network entity, a fourth random access communication via a particular resource allocation, wherein the particular resource is either the first resource allocation or the second resource allocation. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration that indicates a set of symbols associated with subband full duplex (SBFD) operation. The set of symbols may include a first subset of downlink symbols, a second subset of flexible symbols, a third subset of uplink symbols, or a combination thereof. The second subset of flexible symbols may be associated with an uplink subband. The UE may receive a second configuration associated with monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI), based on monitoring the PDCCH, which may include a slot format indicator (SFI) that indicates flexible symbols of the second subset of flexible symbols as uplink or downlink, or a combination thereof. The UE may perform wireless communication based on the first configuration, the second configuration, or the DCI, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for determining whether to drop an additional signal at an edge interlaced resource block (IRB) of a common interlace. A user equipment (UE) may transmit additional signals via IRBs of the common interlace to improve an occupied channel bandwidth (OCB) of a feedback transmission and may drop one or more additional signals that are proximate (e.g., in frequency) to feedback indications of a configured interlace. To ensure the OCB of the transmission satisfies an OCB threshold, the UE may determine whether to drop an additional signal at an edge IRB, despite the edge IRB being proximate to a feedback indication, according to one or more rules that may be specific to edge IRBs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to control signaling for multiple radio access technology (RAT) carrier aggregation. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink control information (DCI) for a first RAT (e.g., 5G) and/or a second RAT (e.g., 6G), in a downlink control channel of the first RAT. The UE determines whether the DCI is associated with the first RAT or the second RAT by monitoring different search spaces, different control resource sets (CORESETs), different radio network temporary identifiers (RNTIs), different DCI lengths, different indication fields of the DCI, different capability parameters, and/or wake-up signals, that are associated with the downlink control channel communicated via the first RAT. The UE 115 communicates via the second RAT based on receiving the DCI.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related user multiplexing with discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoded frequency interlaces are provided. A first wireless communication device identifies a first block-spreading code from a set of block-spreading codes associated with user multiplexing. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device using a frequency interlace in a frequency spectrum, a first communication signal including a first block of information symbols spread across a set of resource blocks (RBs) within the frequency interlace based on the first block-spreading code. The first communication signal is generated by block-spreading the first block of information symbols based on the first block-spreading code to produce a first block of spread information symbols, performing a DFT on the first block of spread information symbols, and mapping the first block of spread information symbols to the set of RBs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity via an optical wireless communication link, a first optical wireless signal using photodetectors positioned on a photodetector panel of the UE. The photodetector panel may include a hole around which the photodetectors are positioned and may be located a first distance from a curved optical device of the UE via which the first optical wireless signal is received. The UE may transmit, to the network entity via the optical wireless communication link, a second optical wireless signal using a light source of the UE that is located a second distance from the curved optical device via which the second optical wireless signal is transmitted. The second optical wireless signal may pass through the hole in the photodetector panel based on the second distance being greater than the first distance.
