Abstract: Systems and methods for uplink transmission scheduling are disclosed. A wireless device may monitor at least two downlink sub-frames for scheduling grants. The wireless device may receive a first uplink scheduling grant in one of the at least two downlink sub-frames for at least a first uplink sub-frame and receive a second uplink scheduling grant in another of the at least two downlink sub-frames for at least the first uplink sub-frame. The wireless device may perform an uplink transmission in the first uplink sub-frame based on one or both of the first uplink scheduling grant and the second uplink scheduling grant. For the uplink transmission, the wireless device may select a most recent uplink scheduling grant or select an uplink scheduling grant received in a downlink sub-frame at least a minimum number of sub-frames before the first uplink sub-frame.

A first wireless communication device transmits a first configuration indicating a first set of channel monitoring occasions for a first channel and a second set of channel monitoring occasions for a second channel The first wireless communication device transmits, in the first channel based on at least a listen-before-talk (LBT) in the first channel, a first occupancy indication signal indicating a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) in the first channel. The first wireless communication device transmits, in the first channel based on the first configuration, a second occupancy indication signal associated with the first TXOP in the first channel during a channel monitoring occasion of the first set of channel monitoring occasions within the first TXOP.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for employing relaying devices, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) user equipment (UE) relays, having a licensed wireless or wired backhaul link and an unlicensed access link. One method generally includes receiving, at a first device, data from a first apparatus via a first carrier frequency in a licensed spectrum, wherein the first device comprises a relaying device, and relaying the data to a second apparatus via a second carrier frequency in an unlicensed spectrum. In this manner, wireless communication systems with relaying devices may achieve better spectral efficiency in unlicensed access links.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, may include techniques for transmitting uplink data transmissions using allocated uplink resources. Allocated uplink resources may include an uplink channel comprising a number of allocated interlaces of resource blocks (RBs) for use by a user equipment (UE). An incoming data stream may be processed and data separated into each of the allocated interlaces of RBs for the UE. Such separation may be through demultiplexing the data stream to obtain data for the allocated interlaces of RBs. The demultiplexed data may be mapped onto associated resource elements associated with the allocated interlaces of RBs, and transmitted. Different types of uplink channels, such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and/or a physical random access channel (PRACH) may be allocated to interlaces of RBs in one or more subframes of a transmitted radio frame.

Abstract: The present disclosure, for example, relates to one or more techniques for scaling the bandwidth of a carrier. Available sub-channels of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band may be determined, and the available sub-channels may be included in the carrier. The available sub-channels may be adjacent or non-adjacent sub-channels. The bandwidth of the carrier may be determined according to which sub-channels are included in the carrier. In this way, the bandwidth of the carrier may be scaled according to the available sub-channels in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a first downlink control information block over a group physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the first downlink control information block identifies a plurality of user equipment (UEs) for performing aperiodic channel state information (C SI) measurements and an indication of CSI reference signal resources for a CSI reference signal. The base station may transmit the CSI reference signal on the indicated CSI reference signal resources. The UE may perform, in response to receiving the group PDCCH, an aperiodic CSI measurement of the CSI reference signal on the indicated CSI reference signal resources.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to providing frequency diversity for communications in an unlicensed spectrum are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, an opportunistic frequency-switching configuration for a first frequency band and a second frequency band. The first frequency band and the second frequency band are shared by a first network operating entity and a second network operating entity. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a first communication signal in a first frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device switches from the first frequency band to a second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device after the switching, a second communication signal in the second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration.

Abstract: Techniques providing opportunistic frequency switching for frame based equipment (FBE), such as may be configured to minimize opportunistic frequency switching delay in FBE new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) networks and/or to provide frequency diversity FBE access based on offset sequences of medium sensing occasions for the carrier frequencies are disclosed. Within the FBE mode network, a base station may configure a pattern of sensing locations in each frame for each frequency transmission unit of the plurality of frequency transmission units, wherein an inter-unit delay of sensing locations between a first frequency transmission unit and a next adjacent frequency transmission unit and between a last frequency transmission unit and the first frequency transmission unit is a fixed duration. Opportunistic frequency switching of embodiments may utilize the medium sensing locations for opportunistically switching between a sequence of the frequency transmission units for implementing frequency diversity FBE access.

A first method includes transmitting a first signal to indicate accessing a first channel in a radio frequency spectrum band, and transmitting information with the first signal in the radio frequency spectrum band. A second method includes winning contention to access a radio frequency spectrum band, and after the winning contention to access the radio frequency spectrum band, transmitting a first signal to align a starting point of a second signal with a reference boundary associated with the radio frequency spectrum band. A third method includes winning contention to access a radio frequency spectrum band during a first frame period, the first frame selected from a plurality of different frame periods, and transmitting a signal at a periodicity during one or more subframes of the first frame period for each of the plurality of different frame periods.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for employing a neighboring cell's assistance information for interference mitigation (e.g., by conveying the information to a user equipment). A base station (BS) may determine assistance information for a neighboring cell and convey it to a user equipment (UE). A UE may receive assistance information for a neighboring cell and use that information for performing interference cancellation or suppression on received signals. The UE may receive the assistance information from a serving cell or a non-serving cell. The assistance information may be valid for a particular transmission instance, for a known period of time, or until updated by a BS.
