    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a switching rule pertaining to either carrier switching or antenna switching associated with the UE performing a reference signal transmission scheduled on a second carrier. The UE may receive a grant scheduling a downlink data transmission on a first carrier, the downlink data transmission comprising a priority level satisfying a priority threshold. The UE may determine that the reference signal transmission is scheduled on the second carrier within a time threshold of the downlink data transmission on the first carrier. The UE may monitor for the downlink data transmission instead of performing the reference signal transmission based at least in part on the switching rule and the priority level of the downlink data transmission satisfying the priority threshold.

    Abstract: In some implementations, a server may obtain metric information from each of a group of RF positioning anchors, wherein the metric information of a respective RF positioning anchor comprises information regarding: a time source accessible to the respective RF positioning anchor, a ground truth accuracy of a known location of the respective RF positioning anchor, a clock stability of the respective RF positioning anchor, a geographic location of the respective RF positioning anchor, a prevalence of Line of Sight (LoS) links of the respective RF positioning anchor, or power consumption information of the respective RF positioning anchor, or a combination thereof. The server may select the synchronization reference anchor from the group of RF positioning anchors based at least in part on the metric information. The server may transmit information indicative of the selected synchronization reference anchor to each RF positioning anchor of the group of RF positioning anchors.

    Abstract: In some scenarios, SRS transmission over the full SRS bandwidth may be unnecessary and/or inefficient. Therefore, a need exists for approaches to SRS transmission over less than the full SRS bandwidth. Described herein are techniques and solutions of SRS transmission using only a portion of the full SRS bandwidth, or a partial SRS bandwidth. The present disclosure provides for SRS transmission using a partial SRS bandwidth through sounding patterns that use only the partial SRS bandwidth and/or using a partial SRS bandwidth through various SRS sequence generation configured for the partial SRS bandwidth. An apparatus receives an SRS configuration indicating a full SRS bandwidth; determines a frequency hopping pattern for SRS transmission based on the SRS configuration, and the frequency hopping pattern is limited to a partial SRS bandwidth less than the full SRS bandwidth; and transmits the SRS transmission to the base station based on the frequency hopping pattern.
