Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A surface used to reflect radio frequency signals may receive requests from multiple devices to configure a set of reflection coefficients. Each request may include a set of reflection coefficients and an indication of a priority level of communications associated with the set of reflection coefficients. A set of reflection coefficients included in a message transmitted from a device may be based on a position of another device relative to the device and the surface. The surface may configure a set of reflection coefficients based on the priority levels associated with the sets of reflection coefficients received in the requests.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a subframe structure for time division duplex (TDD) carriers that can be entirely self-contained. That is, information transmitted on a TDD carrier may be grouped into subframes, where each subframe provides communication in both directions (e.g., uplink and downlink) in a suitable fashion to enable such communication without needing any further information in another subframe. For example, a single subframe may include scheduling information, data information corresponding to the scheduling information, and acknowledgment information corresponding to the data information.

Abstract: A non-coherent communication system in which a transmitting device does not transmit a pilot/DMRS, such that the receiving device may be configured to determine or decode the information received from the transmitting device without performing any channel estimation. An apparatus for wireless communication at a receiving device receives, from a transmitting device, a non-coherent signal having data. The apparatus may determine data from the received signal without performing a channel estimation. In another aspect, an apparatus at a transmitting device divides an information payload including a set of bits into multiple subsets of bits, maps each of the multiple subsets of bits into a respective sequence of complex symbols, generates a non-coherent transmission signal based on the respective sequences, and transmits the non-coherent transmission signal to a receiving device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of resources of a sidelink channel available for sidelink communication with a second UE. The first UE may receive a sidelink preemption indication indicating that at least a first resource from the set of resources is preempted. The first UE may communicate a sidelink transmission over the sidelink channel with the second UE based on the sidelink preemption indication. In some cases, the first UE may determine whether the SPI satisfies one or more thresholds and the first UE may communicate the sidelink transmission, or refrain from communicating the sidelink transmission, based on determining whether the SPI satisfies the one or more thresholds.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to negative acknowledgement (NACK)-triggered sounding reference signal transmissions are provided. In some aspects, a user equipment may detect an error when decoding a data transmission received from a base station via a bandwidth part. The UE may then trigger, in response to detecting the error, a transmission to the BS of a first sounding resource signal using a first SRS resource set of the bandwidth part.
