The UE may determine at least one of: a second number of coefficients to be included in a second set of coefficients in the transfer domain that characterize the compressed CSI for a second layer, or a second quantization scheme to be used to interpret the second set of coefficients. The UE may transmit a report that identifies the first set of coefficients and the second set of coefficients based at least in part on the determination(s). Other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of channel state processes scheduled to be performed. The UE may receive a channel state feedback request corresponding to another set of channel state processes. The combination of the set of channel state processes and the other set of channel state processes may be greater than an amount that the UE may process at a given time. The UE may determine a priority for the channel state processes either on an individual or group basis. The UE may determine channel state process (es) to drop based on the determined priorities, and may perform the remaining channel state processes. The UE may generate and transmit a channel state feedback report message based on the performed channel state processes.

Abstract: A base station may determine co-phase information and uplink precoding information (e.g., user equipment (UE) precoder information) based on one or more received sounding reference signals (SRSs) from a UE. The UE may adjust precoders or co-phase for different SRS transmissions over the one or more configured SRS resources. As such, the base station may indicate either co-phase information or uplink precoding information via an SRS resource indicator (SRI), and may transmit an explicit indication of the remaining co-phase information or uplink precoding information in addition to the SRI. In other examples (e.g., when only a single SRS resource is configured), the base station may transmit an index corresponding to uplink precoding information, as well as a separate indication of co-phase information. In some cases, a port selection pattern may be included with an explicit indication, indicating a selection of antenna port indices the precoder or co-phase index applies to.
