Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging grant that includes a short paging message and a notification of a reason that the short paging message was triggered; determine that the paging grant includes the short paging message; and obtain the notification of the reason that the short paging message was triggered based at least in part on determining that the paging grant includes the short paging message. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for PHR reporting by UEs that support both normal and shortened Transmission Time Interval (sTTI) configurations.
Abstract:
The present disclosure may enable a buffer to accommodate HARQ processes for transmissions with different TTIs when the UE is configured for legacy communications and ULL communications. The apparatus may allocate a first number of HARQ IDs to a first portion of a buffer, the first number of HARQ IDs being associated with a first transmission TTI HARQ process. In addition, the apparatus may allocate a second number of HARQ IDs to a second portion of the buffer. In an aspect, the second number of HARQ IDs may be associated with a second TTI HARQ process. In addition, the first portion and second portion may not change a total buffer size. The apparatus may also receive a HARQ response associated with a HARQ ID allocated to the first portion or the second portion.
Abstract:
The apparatus for wireless communication includes a processing system. The processing system is configured to establish a first radio link with a master base station, establish a second radio link with a first cell associated with a secondary base station, wherein the second radio link comprises a SRB, receive a RRC connection reconfiguration signal from the second radio link SRB to enable measurement reports associated with the second radio link, and provide a measurement report to the secondary base station associated with the second radio link using the second radio link SRB.
Abstract:
The present disclosure may provide a feedback mechanism in which a feedback PDU may be transmitted by a UE with one or more modified transmission characteristics for both an activation and deactivation of the SPS grant. The feedback PDU transmitted with modified transmission characteristics may increase the reliability of the communication system and reduce the latency of the communication system, while also activating and/or deactivating SPS grants. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may generate a feedback PDU. In addition, the apparatus may modify a transmission characteristic associated with the feedback PDU. Furthermore, the apparatus may transmit, using the modified transmission characteristic, the feedback PDU to the base station.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the described aspects relate to scheduling communications in wireless networks using traffic aggregation. A UE communicates with a first access point using a first RAT over a first connection to access a first wireless network, and with a second access point using a second RAT over a second connection. The UE can receive, from the first access point, one or more parameters for scheduling communications with the second access point. The UE can also schedule communications with the second access point based at least in part on the one or more parameters.
Abstract:
Aspects generally relate to a priority mechanism for handing potentially conflicting triggers related to offloading rules and RAN aggregation. As described, a UE may receive, from a BS, configuration information for RAN aggregation of one or more data bearers and offloading rules for WLAN offloading. The UE may determine a priority for communicating using the RAN aggregation and offloading rules based, at least in part, on the received configuration information. The UE may perform the RAN aggregation or the WLAN offloading according to the offloading rules based on the determined priority. The priorities may be established in an effort to generally give priority to RAN aggregation over offloading rules and/or give priority to UE-specific instructions over broadcasted instructions.
