    Abstract: Wireless communication systems and methods related radio link failure monitoring and handling in full-duplex communications are provided. A user equipment communicates, with a base station, in a full-duplex mode using a first uplink beam and a first downlink beam. The user equipment detects a beam failure of at least one of the first uplink beam or the first downlink beam. The user equipment determines whether the beam failure is associated with self-interference in the full-duplex mode. The user equipment determines, based at least in part on the determination that the beam failure is associated with the self-interference in the full-duplex mode, to refrain from declaring a radio link failure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) with the capability to support a single active TCI state may receive configuration signaling which configures the UE with an active transmission configuration indication (TCI) state corresponding to a first beam for a control resource set and a shared data channel. The UE may perform a random access channel procedure to select a second beam from a set of different beams. The UE may update a quasi co-location (QCL) assumption for the control resource set to correspond to the second beam and deactivate the active TCI state based on updating the QCL assumption. The UE may then monitor the control resource set, the shared data channel, or both, using the second beam. The UE may deactivate the TCI state and use the indicated downlink beam so that the UE does not exceed its capability.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for dynamic updates to beam failure detection (BFD) reference signals (RSs) and path loss RS using medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) or downlink control information (DCI). For example, the quasi co-location (QCL) of periodic CSI-RS may be dynamically updated by the MAC-CE or DCI when the periodic CSI-RS is for BFD RS. Also, a semi-persistent CSI-RS or aperiodic CSI-RS may act as a BFD RS. An enhanced update procedure may be used to update the path loss RS dynamically using MAC-CE or DCI. In some cases, the path loss RS parameters updated via MAC-CE or DCI may overwrite the previously RRC configured path loss RS parameters. In another example, if the path loss RS is not configured, then the path loss RS by default may be the spatial relation reference signal of the corresponding uplink beam.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station via an uplink control channel, a negative acknowledgement (NACK) when a downlink shared channel transmission is not successfully received at the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station and based at least in part on the NACK, one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) at one or more semi-persistent CSI measurement occasions. The UE may transmit, to the base station, one or more CSI reports at one or more semi-persistent CSI reporting occasions corresponding to the one or more semi-persistent CSI measurement occasions, wherein the one or more CSI reports include one or more channel measurements based at least in part on the one or more CSI-RSs.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring reference signals. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a control message indicating a first quasi co-location (QCL) for an aperiodic-tracking reference signal (A-TRS), the A-TRS being associated with a periodic-tracking reference signal (P-TRS), determining a second QCL for the P-TRS based on the first QCL for the A-TRS, setting a receive beam for reception of the P-TRS based on the second QCL of the P-TRS, and decoding one or more frames based on channel statistics estimated via the P-TRS received via the receive beam.
