Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A non-terrestrial network (NTN) device (e.g., a satellite, base station) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), at a first frequency a synchronization signal block (SSB) that indicates a second frequency of a control resource set (CORESET) relative to the SSB, where the second frequency is based on one or more of: a CORESET bandwidth, a combination of a first parameter associated with a first portion of the SSB and a second parameter associated with a second portion of the SSB, or both. The UE may monitor the CORESET at the indicated second frequency for a downlink control channel transmission. The NTN device may transmit, to the UE, a downlink control channel transmission over the CORESET. The NTN device may transmit, to the UE, system information based on the downlink control channel transmission.

Abstract: A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an instruction for scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission. The PUSCH transmission may be overlapping with at least one of a slot boundary or a symbol that is configured invalid for a PUSCH by the base station, and the UE may configure a first partial PUSCH and a second partial PUSCH, the second partial PUSCH being a subset of the PUSCH transmission and including a single symbol length. The UE may schedule the second partial PUSCH based on the instruction received from the base station.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction based on a tone reservation (TR) algorithm. For a TR algorithm, a suitable subset of tones from among a full set of tones in a given resource allocation are reserved for use as peak reduction tones (PRT). An apparatus such as a transmission/reception point receives a set of one or more PRT sequences and stores them in memory. The transmission/reception point then determines a set of PRTs based on one or more later-received PRT sequence selection parameters. A UE may receive a first indication that a first power mode of a network entity is associated with a first duplex type for the network entity and a second power mode of the network entity is associated with a second duplex type for the network entity. The first duplex type and the second duplex type may correspond to at least one of full-duplex communication or half-duplex communication. The UE may receive a second indication of a switch from the first power mode associated with the first duplex type to the second power mode associated with the second duplex type and communicate with the network entity based on the second power mode and the second duplex type for the network entity.
